Not new to the collection, but traditionally we've begun to pick a new ornament each year when we travel. We didn't get a chance to this year. So I thought we could each pick a hot wheels we like and make them into tree ornaments. Hand tapped some holes and glued in eyelets to hang them from.

Those are cool! I have a Pontiac GTO car ornament, I've had it probably 15(ish) years. It's still on the tree.

I bought these jewelry eyelet screws (screw eyes, I guess) on scamazon:
https://a.co/d/0VgpKCT

They're tiny, but seem to be a good scale for a hot wheel. I used car model glue to fasten it... we'll see how durability is.

Ironically, just picked up our Hallmark ornaments for the year, this is the one I got. The eyelet looks familiar.

We're...quasi collectors I guess. I've got some vintage ones from when I was a kid, plus some older 90s ones I've bought when our kiddo started getting into it. I've restored a few too.

I'd probably take either one. Classic redline, even a little beat up for a fair price, I'd be okay with that. I can always restore it too. Sometimes you can get someone on eBay selling the RLC one for an okay price.

Yea! Saved my favorite Chevy nomad and I've just bought a few locally that were beat up and restored them too. I actually have a restomods thread

I love the mustangs. I've got the classic mustang convertibles where the hood lifts up. One of my favorites, our daughter loves those too
