The construction part is done to the point that the tile guy can now come in. The painter will be here on Friday to do his thing before the tile guy gets started.

We now also decided to replace the vanity. We just ordered a custom 65" vanity, granite top, and a 20"x81" linen closet that all go in a row. I'm now in the process of removing the existing vanity. I have to cut it all up due to the fact that its to long to make the turn on the staircase to get it out of the house.

The magic word seems to be 3 weeks. Everything I want, need, or order takes 3 weeks. Is going to be 3 weeks from Sunday till this job gets done. And no, I didn't mention 3 weeks from "What" Sunday...

I got all the drywall patched after removing the vanity as well as the texture feather where the new and the old come together. It was hard to match the texture perfect but my feather came out well so its not noticeable. We got the master bedroom and master bathroom painted. I replaced all the doorknobs and hinges with high end brushed nickel.

I mounted the plasma on the bedroom wall and will hide the wires once we make sure its going to stay where it is. Window treatments are on the menu for this week. Wife can't make up her mind on what she wants.

The vanity has been ordered and should be built and delivered by the first of June. Errr... The tile has been ordered and will need to hang out till the vanity is in. Its going up to the edge of the tub and needs to be tiled in and a splash added on the tub side. Once the vanity is in I will need to measure and order the granite top.

I need to move one of the two sets of sink valves over a foot or so. I woke up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat and measured it. DAMN!! Its right in the middle of a cabinet joint....

So yes there is progress but its never fast enough.

Its never ending.

its looking damn good...momma going to kick you for using her good vacuum...lol thats the color i always use on rentals i paint antique?

The color isn't represented well in the photos. They are much darker then they look. The bedroom is a drab green brownish color and the bath is close to the same but lighter. They have some funny K Moor names and took a designer to pick them. Woo Hooo! spent money for someone to tell us what color to use.

BTW I'm sitting on my bed making this post with a new Mini-Mac connected to my plasma.

Made some progress this week.
Got all the tile work done and the new cabinets installed.
I'm working on the lighting and moving the pluming and electrical to match up with the new cabinets.

Wood floors and shower door are scheduled to go in the end of the month and the granite counter top has been ordered for the vanity. Its finely starting to take shape.

Didnt read the post did you..... :D
Its due in on the 26th.
Totaly clear frameless. Just a few clamps to hold it on.
3/8 inch tempered. HEAVY SOB.

Got the vanity lighting installed and all the tile sealed up so far this week. Wood is being delivered on Friday to complete the floor in the Master Bathroom, 1/2 bath downstairs and the living room. It will be installed on Tuesday along with the shower door. Wednesday the shower fixtures will be installed along with recessed lighting in the kitchen. From there all I need is to get the vanity top, sink, and fixtures in and installed as well as all the little things like mirrors towel racks and moldings.

The last part of the project Painting the entire inside of the house, new door hardware, carpet on the stairs and landing, and furniture for the dining room and family room is all scheduled in and ready to be completed by Aug 25th. (Yah! Right!)

More photos next week.

Project looks great Ed... really nice. I know the feeling of having to wait and watch the progress. I have that "I want it done now attitude" It is kinda of cool though to see the progress as it happens. I go home every night and immediately head down stairs to see if anything new has been done! LOL
Again.. everything looks great!
