Yeah so far I've spent $120 and its now back together. I can't run it untill i get servos.
I was looking at the ofna and in reality it looks really strong but the electronics and customer service are poopy.

pretty much all rtr electronics are crappy besides a few exceptions

If the fail safe was working you had to loose power on the buggy, a throttle return spring probably would have saved it. Get a nice receiver pack and put tape on every connection to make sure nothing comes unplugged during the next run and add a throttle return spring. Sorry to hear about your bad luck, good luck on the next run!

Nope they claim everything with the radio/rreceiver/ servos works 100%
Thats why i say they are lying to me because my lhs tested it all and found a glitch.
My lhs even told them that they are lying. And thats why i say ofna is a p.o.s lol.

Lucky you it was water i wich mine whent in water. :(

Also my lhs was telling me that they have had the same problem with other ofnas with same radio.

I mean I know a hobby shop needs to sell stuff to make money, but don't you think they should have told you that BEFORE you bought the buggy? It could have saved your runaway.

Out of all my rtr rigs the ofna lx2 has been the worse, that s.o.b. bout drove drove me crazy til I changed out everything!!! It was a nightmare bout ended the hobby for me really. Think I posted on here when I fighting wit it, being my second rig it was crazy and fustrating, felt like stick of dynamite knew it was gone happen just never when!!!

The thing that piss me off is that they (ofna tech) blames it on the battery pack. I said well if the battery back is poor why dont you do something about it? They reply with you need a good battery pack along with a return spring . Again i asked why didnt they do that?
I dont know but if i was a company and i was selling rtr i would make sure i cover all the basics and make sure everything works 100%. The jato i ppicked up came with a built in return spring and has yet failed on me at all. I used the stock battery pack and tested the amount of time it last. I get an all day runing for hrs and it wont fail on me. I do swap the reciver batteries befor a day of running though just to be save.
This ofna almost took me out of this hobby too but the jato pulled me back in.
And i just bought a T-maxx which btw is bad ass!!!!

I love my t maxx its reliable and super easy to work on i can break something grab my tools and normally be back running in like 15 or 20 just depends what breaks lol

Do you know how to program the reverse servo to spectrum dx3c? I can't figure it out. Lol

Oh update! I guess my lhs kept trying to get ofna to work with me and they got ofna to send them all the part for free! Just got the call today. My lhs is the best!

Update! Boy let me tell ya ofna got jokes.
I put the car together and i go to turn it on and the steering and throttle servos are going haywire.
They twitch non stop. Ugh!

Are you running 'AA' batteries or a pack? If not i would get a good battery pack.

Sent from my Pipboy-3000

AA lithium. On car and radio. Havent gotten a pack for it yet. And they where brand new. I can see if they where old but these where fresh from the store.

Just so you all know, OFNA don't make the cars/buggies, they import & rebadge, the LX2 is a Hong Nor buggy, that why it would of had the Hong Nor radio & the Hyper PCR Pro mentioned in an earlier post is a rebadged Hobao Hyper PCR (Paul Coleman Racing version), I had one myself but Hoboa, not a rebadged OFNA, I think OFNA may have also rebadged a few of the other Hobao buggies as well & maybe other brands to.
I'm not quite sure but I did read something about OFNA not importing the Hobao line of cars anymore to so not sure who doe's that in the U.S now either.
Hong Nor were meant to be a decent buggy & back in 2006-07 a couple of people at a local club here raced them & they went well, they were kits though, not RTR's.
Hobao are a Taiwanese company, not made in the U.S, Hong Nor may also be Taiwanese but I'm not sure, they normally mad decent stuff from what I had read & seen though.
As for batteries, the receiver will run fine on 4x AA batteries, the lithium ones are better but even the 1.2v rechargeable's do a good job & I used both in my Hobao Hyper PCR & never had a single issue. Seems like the receiver in your buggy had a faulty part & all of a sudden malfunctioned & OFNA just didn't want to replace the whole car. I remember reading somewhere a while back about a couple of other people having issues that should of been covered by warranty but weren't.
Get a buggy from a manufacturer, not someone who just rebadges other brand cars.

I run all of my cars on AAs and i have never had this issue. My local hobby said well at least i ues the lithium which works just fine with all the cars. I said yeah there just expensive lol $10 a pack of 4 for a day of fun.

And i found the proble. It was the tthrottle servo going bad. Thats why it took off on me in the first place.
And ofna said they tested it ha! What a joke.

Have u changed the tx/rx yet, mine acted foolish running off til I changed everything you have mentioned. That hump pack is definitely a plus bruh them batteries gt expensive

Yes i will be going to get the packs. I got more cars on a good deal. Wife asked why i spend so much money on batteries lol. Powering up jato 3.3/tmaxx 2.5/ofna lx2 and now 2 more lx comps (futaba servos in all the ofnas) and yes i use them every chance i get.

Imo the company its self is crap as to them saying they checked the servos and reciver and radio. And the electronics they use are nothing better. But i must say the chassis and the force .28 engine are good. Having to build one (lx2) gets you hands on with the core of the buggy. I got these 2 buggy for a steal and came upgraded with futaba metal geared servos so i figured ill use one for parts.
