Now I'll throw you guys a curve ball. I just got of the phone with the Sacramento Red Barons, the group in this area that that is big on racing rc planes. They have very recently completed an off road track located on thier flying site. The organization says that they would probably rent it to us for $5 a head from 10am to mid afternoon if we are interested. Just one catch, all have to be ROAR insured. I should be recieving pics soon. From what I've heard it is a nice off road track. The location is Roseville about 5 miles from the planned site.

Give me some feedback gentlemen.

I hear that they are also having an air show this weekend featuring scale war jets. I may go check it out.

Having a bash a a track is great. We did this in Buffalo a few months back. ROAR is 30.00 a year to join and the reason they are asking for all to be ROAR members is they provide track insurance with membership.

It may be to late in the day for everyone to join. If it is going to be there EVERYONE must be a member.

I am not a member.

Just checked their site. They live in the dark ages. You must print the form, fill it out, then mail it in with a check.

If I send it tomorrow, I doubt I will get the card before next weekend. I may send it in anyway.

ROAR Insurance can be purchased at some hobby shops that sell on and off road rc or at just about any track.

There is not much time left for a decision so everyone please state your peace.

I'll go ahead and follow through regardless of any decision to get the info and keep the contacts.

OK update. I haven't heard of anything else so It looks like I am going as of now. But you know how family gatherings can be..Last minute things can always make things hard for all of us. I am planning on going so if things change I will let you know.

I will look up some hotels there. I plan on going there for the bash. I will be bring some extra cash so I hope there is a LHS near there.

Jon

I have purchased day memberships before at races. Can you see if the sell them onsite? I don't mind shelling out the extra coin.

There is a HobbyTown in Rocklin within 2 miles and then there is Fast Trach Hobbies in Citus Heights about 7-8 miles away.
HobbyTown is responsible for hooking me up with Red Barons and Fast Track Hobbies has some of the higher end rc products not to mention two of the best 1/24 scale slot car tracks in Nothern Cal. They even have an indoor carpet track for minis and a slot car drag strip. Bring em if you got em. I have 2 group 12 wing cars and 1 Defalco controller to play with if we bust up everything and get bored.

FastEddy, Humbolt, robmob, Blah420, jon2, you got emails with new and improved directions.

Got em as well.Thank you for the help.

Sounds like a side trip to Fast Track Hobbies is in order.

Got the new directions as well.

Thanks.

Looks like its going to be a Revo Fest.
Lets just hope Jon didn't sell us all Revos on the same Frequency LOL.
I'm not sure what freq. Mine will be on. We should sound off now in case we have a conflict we can get it hammered out now.
