Yup I take Highway 36 from Fortuna to Redbluff and that is like 2.5 hrs maybe 3. Then I have the drive down I-5 just like you do.

That is WAY to true, talk about a fiddlesticking bottle neck! What you got 680, 12, and 80 all converging right in Cordelia. I have spent hours there, and I can just imagine how worse it has gotten in the 4 years since I moved from down there. Ed you are really better off going to St. Helna then taking 121 behind Berryessa and drop in Winters. Take Winters to Woodland then jump on 5, that's how I do it and you will save at LEAST 45 minutes. I used to live in Dixon and work in S.R. up @ Sutter and that was my preffered route. 80 to 12 was a cluster fiddlesticks.

See I am taking 5 because my friend lives right out by Arco Arena and that highway drops me right where I am going. I hear about the backtracking on your part because you would still have 20mins up to Roseville from out by Arco.
