That is a good lookin kit. Nice job!

Thanks guys. I'm not finished, wanted to build it stock first. This was my first RC rig, I'm new to the hobby. Wouldn't mind adding him, but I'd like to find him a girlfriend too. I have some wheels and tires but I need to get hubs and center caps for them.

I finished the axles and chassis. Somehow I lost the little piece that goes to the rear receiver box, not that anybody I know actually uses it. So I made one from a piece of scrape G10 I had, then I used a black magic marker on it.

Started my tranny, I have ordered or received these parts.

1. SR515 DSMR 5-Channel Sport Receiver, for my DX5.
2. Vanquish Products VFD Aluminum Light Weight Motor plate (Black).
3. Vanquish Products VFD Aluminum Standoffs (Black).
4. Vanquish Products 20mm Aluminum Servo Horn (25T).
5. Fusion PRO 2300kv.
6. LED Program Card.
7. NSDRC RS800 V2 Ultra High Torque Brushless Servo.

I have also been working on a crawler course in my back yard. I used part of a old plastic slide, the Phoenix won't go up it's too slippery have to score it or something. And I found out the rock course is too narrow and needs more natural rock but it's a work in progress.

Good way to repurpose the children's play structures.

I'm using the tarp to kill the vines that would get tangled in the axles. I had my first run.

Yea, they don't need it there almost 30. I got hung up so many times, bottomed out need more natural boulders.

It's tough to beat Vanquish stuff, awesome build.

Nice trucks, VP has quality products so far I haven't had any problems and the parts fit together nicely.

My only complaint is the tires suck, my buddy used them for like 5 minutes and next day bought some prolines, they where caked even in hard packed dirt
Same here, went to the Hyrax Predator for my first rig but haven't installed yet need hubs and center caps. Don't know what wheels and rubber this rig will have yet.

My buddy had a problem installing the tires on the rims, they didn’t want to get in the bead (proline BFG tires soft) so he wants rims but because there’s some special mounting hub he wasn’t able to go and buy some, and he’s not spending $150 on vanquish rims, to him rims are aesthetic so he’s going with some cheap $35-$45 amazon ones

yea VP stock wheels use Incision hubs and are not compatible with SLW hubs. And you don't need $200 wheels to have a nice rig but you do need good rubber.
