newbie. what do i have?worth investing money into?

i got a box with a nitro rc. i tried looking up how to power it up for the steering to make sure it works but can't find anything besides motor start up but I'm not there yet . i have no idea how the the rc works so if someone can please help me out on how to get it started i know i will have to invest money into it which i dont mind.

That looks like a Losi stadium truck ,what version ,I don't know!

I refurbished one awhile back for a guy ,an it looks like that one from the looks of the brake pad
location on the side!...

They are fun an worth restoring!....:D

Yes ,they carry a 4.8 to a 6 volt battery pack on the back of the chassy for the receiver ,
there should be a wire harness with a plug jack that goes back to the rear!

Heres a pic of the one I restored ,its the little truck ,sorry for the blurred pic ,its the only
pic that I have of it ,it has the original body on it.

They competed with the AE RC10 trucks back in the day ,an they are still a blast to
run on an off the track!....:thumbs-up:

Now that we know what i have any idea were i can purchase a battery for that model online?will any Nitro RC 6v battery work or would it have to be specific XTM model?

The grey head engine is a big block dynamite mach 427 (.26ci) on a HPI savage engine mount. They had a grey head and orange head version. The grey head was the higher output of the two that I think came in the losi muggy. The orange head one came in the losi LST2.
