The new Slash Mudboss is nice. But... Like I said on rctech it's not legal in any oval classes. I won't be buying one until I see what happens with the Mudboss rules and if any local tracks either add a new class for this car or integrate it somehow with existing 12T or 13.5 classes. I don't see it allowed in 12T with the LCG chassis and out of the box it's under powered for the "Big Bore" or 13.5 class. Have to wait and see.

i like the idea, yet I'm underwhelmed that it's just yet another take on the 2wd Slash.

A lot of the upgraded parts (drag Slash transmission, beefed up caster blocks, LCG chassis) on it should be standard affair in the 2wd models at this point. How many years have they kept the same flimsy caster block design?

Yeah...but I'm a novice...it wasn't in a box, it was on the counter...and it could have just been one that looked like the link...
I've been wanting to day trip up to Hobby Town Kennesaw. I've heard it's like a super store. I'm 40min from the Buford one & it's small. Good store tho. They have lots of stuff & parts. Drift track- last time I was there.

It's a big store for sure for all sorts of hobby's...I don't have much to compare it to as I haven't been in many different hobby stores

A local organization will be adding Mudboss class to its weekly asphalt track races.

My summary of their rules is:
The ONLY things you can change are fluids, you can change caster, camber, shock pre-load and factory provided mounting points. You can use whatever battery but it can not be more than ( I forgot) volts at beginning of race. As of the publishing date you are allowed to change gearing, they might specify gearing in the future.

That is a great way to attract new racers.

It is... and sounds a lot like the spec-Slash races some shops have (had).
