tvjv, if you can't get through with the link, it's a stickie on top of our electronics forum.
Ok now I remember! thanks.

so its a smartech winner one aparently is that right? yeah def off brand lol. well atleast that link has a pic of what its supposed to look like all put together,

whats kind of bodies should i look for? 200mm orrrrr what?
I personally have no clue on bodies for an on roader. You may want to start a thread in the touring car section if you haven't already. Chances are someone that hangs out there more may know some questions better than a mt'er.

That said, I guess I thought a 1/10 scale body was a 1/10 scale body. Though I'm not sure how good a p/u truck body would look on there. :D

lol, right i was told the touring cars have 200mm, but some have 190mm but the length of my car nose to tail is 380mm according to the specs on that link... so I'm confused i will start a thread there tho. my brother also has several two speed bells and misc. parts hes bringing up to me this weekend hopefully. so il have to check those with whatever motor and set up i get from you. and see what works.

If and you want high torque servos, I will post the ones I use. High torqe and affordable. A lot of guys will not try them because they only cost 8 bucks. And to each his own. But they are metal gear and pretty fast too.

Just search MG995 servo on ebay

There is a servo data base in the electronic section of this site. I sent a link to it the other night I'm a pm. It is worth a million bucks when you are searching for servos.

Please dont buy these servos...They are complete garbage. If you can't spare more than $10 for a servo at least buy the MG996R servos even though they are pretty much garbage too they did at least fix a couple issues that the 995's had like the sloppy resolution that the 995s are known for (Yes I've owned both of these). Both servos though have a fairly high failure rate compared to quality servos. As for being fast they are like the opposite of fast. As near as I can tell the speed on them at 6V is probably somewhere around .18 second at best and the torque is probably closer to 160oz/in regardless of what trumped up specs you'll see online. On top of that these servos are analog if my memory serves which is yet another strike against them in my book.

If you can't afford to spend $50-$75 on a decent to good quality servo then I would reluctantly recommend PPP brand servos from ebay. They arent the greatest either but theyre probably the only sub $50 servo I've personally owned that I thought were kind of decent. You can get NON-Waterproofed PPP servos HERE for about $29 or a waterproofed (I've not tested the waterproofed claims on these servos) version HERE for about $10 bucks more.

I would strongly recommend saving up the extra claims and getting Savox servos.

With what a tape measure or a micrometer lolol Idk if I have something that measure that small of stuff guess I better get a better ruler lol I ordered servos. I know I still need atlwast two different sets of tires. And a bunch of small screws for mounting everything.
Spend the $11 to invest in a digital caliper. You can get them HERE from Amazon. I never realized how handy they could be even outside of RC until I bought one. :)

gotcha unfortunatly i already orederd them. but i will use them for now and save up for good parts. calipers he says hes gonna send me one so il have something for that. thank you though! yeah id like to eventually have top parts in there for the glow plug and air filter and exhaust is there any performance differences in brands. i can't imagine an engine this small would really benefit much from these things but I'm still learning
