TLR:

Introducing the next generation of 2WD race engineering: the TLR 22X.
Available in Dirt/Clay (22X DC) and Astro/Carpet (22X AC) configurations, both kits feature all new geometry, 13mm big bore shocks, a refined transmission, and maximum tunability to meet the demands of today’s fastest tracks.

Every part is designed for performance and cross compatibility across both builds, giving racers the freedom to fine tune and evolve their setup as conditions change. This platform has been engineered from the ground up for serious racers.

Thank you horizon! No need to remove a billion screws just to get to the diff!!!

Also, new updated front axles which push the hex farther out so I'll see if I can try to fit those on my 22 5.0 to use regular 2wd wheels that won't rub on the hub.

meh. just an updated 22, not impressed. and its over priced. it's ugly. i hate the front wings they're running on buggies now.
and its really starting to annoy me that manufactures make a carpet/turf car and a dirt/clay car. 20 years ago every car was a Swiss army knife, today everything's a scalpel. to restricting.

That is a good point, but for someone who only raced carpet/turf or only dirt/clay a car specifically designed for that running surface can be a help.

Finally all i'm waiting for now from TLR is another 4WD race buggy kit but first i've got start saving up for my future iXSR again since i sacrificed two months of save up money to get my final personal PS3. But it's nice to know Horizon\TLR is finally coming back into the racing market all they need for me is to bring back the iXSR and a 22X4 Elite V2 or whatever they'll end up calling it.

It's a brand new car from the ground up. Rear Hub carriers and bearings are some of the only compatible parts. New 2.6 gear ratio, all new front and rear ends.. c and d blocks that connect to the transmission assembly. Completely different car if you look at it.

i did look, even watched like a 40 minute video on it. at first glance it looked like any other 22 iv never really paid attention to. it reminds me of the RC10B2 to RC10B3 transition. I'm not impressed. its over priced, overly complicated, ugly. motors in the wrong place, can't fit a stick pack. i genuinely don't care about this thing. RC racing has gotten stupid and this car and the tracks its made for are the representation of why.

Fair enough, to each their own. I recently started racing again on an indoor offload clay track and am excited about a new car after 6+ years! I paid my dues in the early 90s with Rc10 team car and Jrx T/Pro SE. I like the "modern" changes to mid motor, LIHV batteries and brushless motors: it helps to hide my questionable driving. Lol

I love that motor comment. Yes, I'll admit it was hard to watch the JConcepts INS this past weekend. I THINK it was still considered "off-road" racing. 😁
It's hard for me as well to conform to the looks of modern RC off-road racing. I happy for the Losi fans. Keeping the rivalry alive is a good thing.

Now, "TLR" ,cough Horizon, needs to work on their fictitious website. If I were the company focused on "TLR"... no big party going on over there on the .com.

As a losi fanboy from the 80's I was excited to see something new coming but that was up until I saw the Cost $$$
$429.99 for either 2wd platform and $579.99 for the 4wd kitt. for 1/10th scale too much $$$.

That's what off-road is now. 🫤
And it's been like that for 1/10 for a pretty long time now. There really isn't a lot of true old school dirt tracks for 1/10 out there anymore. If you want that experience most people would say go 1/8. But still in 1/8 most tracks are still being prepped for tons of traction and being smooth

looks like TC racing with a couple speed bumps.
If I was flippin'/scrollin' by that video real fast, I would've thought it was a slot car track. 🤔

Yeah, I get it. It takes talent to navigate chicanes, and turns at super sonic speeds. It's the little nuances of outdoor tracks forming up/breaking down during a race that made off-road RCs so popular IMO. Sure we rolled the dice with Mother Nature (happy mother's day to all you mothers out there) ruining a anticipated event, but having a bit of dirt under your fingernails ain't gonna hurt anyone.

Why no update on the TLR website? If I were to want a Team Losi Racing platform, I'd be looking at that tlracing.com place to get my racing platform fix. I don't want to go to horizonruinsthebrandeverythingsgonnabeokay.com. May 21, 2025... release date for the 22X. Fix the TLR website by then, or I'm calling the whole thing a scam!

Lighten up people. I'm just pokin' a bit of sarcasm/humor here.
