The 1/10 E Revo is known to be large for it's size, some have said it's comparable to the Savage which is 1/8 scale. I dunno, never seen one in person, but I'd love to have one though.

It's not quite as big as the Savage Flux but runs the Castle Creations Mamba Monster on the Brushless Edition. I saw one run on the same course as 1/12th scale Pan Cars and it was outrunning them....

Then I'm definitely going to grab one.....hmm maybe next month, I probably should have picked up a charger capable of charging more than 4s

I'd have more to play with but I just put a Hinson clutch kit, a yoshi exhaust package, and a new cam shaft on the old 660 raptor!

In an early morning shoppers rage, I got weak and ordered 4 turnigy nano-tech 3s 40-80C lipo packs for the MERV. I hope they don't take too long to get to the post office!

SPECS: Configuration: 2S2P
Continuous Discharge: 25C (55A)
Max Burst Rate: 50C (110A)
Watt Hours: 16.28
Charge Rate: 1C (2.2A)
Max Charge Rate: 2C (4.4A)
Dimensions: 3.5 x 0.8 x 1.8" (88 x 20 x 35mm)
Weight: 4.7oz (120g)

Ended up changing the charge rate to 2C, and ya it's way faster! Does this harm the life of the pack in anyway, also I've read that some packs get warm when charging, mine haven't yet they only get warm after I've run them down in the MERV.

If the pack allows a 2C rate, it theoretically should be twice a fast as 1C.
It could shorten the life of the pack, depending on the quality of the lipo and quality of charger being used.
packs generally get hotter at a lower voltage at 3.5-3.0 the temps start to go up, below 3.0 the packs start to rise quite dramatically. This increase in temps also increase the internal resistance and with this increasing it makes the packs get hotter and loose performance. The internal resistance is the key measurement.

Oh, man! stupid labour day I only get mail 3 times a week in my area, and now the post office is closed for a stat holiday.

Can you tell I'm going a lil crazy waiting for my 3s packs, the T-bones racing chassis brace, and extra bodies to show up. You guys were right the MERV is already crazy fast on 2s, it should be a fun experience when the 3s pack arrive.

YES! My (4) turnigy nano-tech 1400mAh 3s lipos just showed up. Man are they cute. It says on the sticker to read warning and usage guidelines, but the info on the lipo doesn't say anything about max charge rate, this has me puzzled?

Yup just a basic disclaimer on the back, and no max charge rate like my traxxas 2c lipos.

I think I'll chage on 1C so I don't start a fire.

Lipo should not get hot when charging. For battery with discharge rate lower than 35c donot go over 2c charging. For battery with discharge rate over 50c (continuous, no burst), 2c-3c charging should not have much issue. I always charge my old packs (50C 5000mah) at 10amp and I had them for over 3 years without any issue. (run weekly with modified 4wd touring, SC truck, and my son's tamiya wheelie). For my race packs 7300mah 75C I charged them at 20amp for over 1 year now. The main issues with lipo is get the right charger. (and of course donot over discharger them)
