This is a 92 Kyosho Lazer ZX Sport. Its in tough shape. I did already start cleaning it up but this is mostly how I got it.
Battering ram front hinge pin mount/shock tower protector from hell!!!
And oh yes... just for @Doom! Yup, those are AE orange, white, black and yellow shocks!
There are big silly body mounts on this car. With zero suspension travel, I have to guess this was used as an oval car.
No shortage of rust on this car but everything seems to turn ok. Mesh is tight tho.
Underside isn't bad. Its FRP not carbon fiber. There was a nasty clump of hot glued superglue mess on the top but its mostly gone now.
Trinity Kinwald Epic 5.0. I hope this baby spins!!!
Anyone remember these???

4 HPI 5 star wheels in great shape!!! I LOVE these wheels!!!
This second car is a mystery. Calling it an Optima right now but I have other plans.
Its belt drive. Feels smooth. Came with Robinson gears which is awesome. I can start using other Robinson gears to get a nice overdrive going.
Parma wheels, Proline Cherokee waffle tires are awesome!!!
KOPropo servo, most parts to rrassemble are here already.
The stock resistor style esc might be fun to mess with.
Needs shocks, universals and the right knuckle too I think.
The underside is funny. The rails and front skid look good but the arms and gear cases are real banged up.
And a couple of the Optima Mid as I'm fitting the electronics, wires, body...
I can't believe how low I got this body! The front is touching the belt cover all the way up.
I have to get everything mounted so I can cut the back lower part. About 1/2" off the rear still needs to come off.
The Hobby Wing XR10 Legend tucks away nicely. The battery wires are going to be about 2" long.
Still need to buy bullet connectors and a few other blingys from AvidRC.com
I LOVE THIS CAR!!!
