Traxxas stampede 4x4 comes to mind. What surface are you running on? What style cars are you after?
I love the style of the Kraton, also monster trucks that aren't the tall style, like the ECX Ruckus. I run on pavement, off-road, and on carpet track for fun.

Do you already have RC stuff or does your price need to include a charger, batteries, tools etc.? If you need the basics, it limits how much you can spend on the RC itself. Just don't want you to be surprised at how much the extras cost after you get the RC itself.

I would suggest going on Amain's website, or any other retailer's website, narrow the search to your preferences, then choose a couple that you are interested in. Bring those choses back to us, and we can tell you the pros and cons of each one.

I have money for batteries. Already got a good balance charger (so my lipos don't become spicy pillows of agony!) and tools. This is just the price of the car.

Aight bet. 😁

Be sure to keep looking for a good used deal here too. I would normally not suggest buying used but if you are getting it here, we can all sort of look it over and give you thoughts on the deal.
The ppl here I have dealt with on used gear have all been honest and clear about the sale. ( Still be smart about sending ppl money!)

Good luck at the job!!! 😎

Thanks man! I'm looking at either a place at a golf course, or a bike shop that my dad is friends with the owner.

They both sound like good places to work at.
You'll learn a fair amount about mechanics and how things work if you get the bike shop job. 😁
Theres lots to do at a golf course and you'd be outside for some at least. You might be able to work on your swing there but they might not be too happy about your R/C's tearing up the 9th green! 🤣
You race on carpet and you want to bash... almost always you will need 2 different cars for this.
I say this not because you can't bash a racer. I say it because a carpet racer becomes so specialized to a track with not-knobby tires and tons of expensive carbon fiber that gets ripped up on asphalt, doesn't take repeated abuse well, tricked out to run 5,6,7 mins at a time in a protected environment.
Bashers are built to take a hammering. They aren't always the fastest or most agile though. Big heavy and tough for sure tho!
Ppl really like the Arrma Grom, Losi Mini T/B and Kyosho Mini Z.
All would make fine mini's for you. You just need to figure out which suits you best for your uses.
As for your basher/track runner...
If there can only be one r/c, I would recommend you look at Tekno.
Ppl love them here!
Parts are around tho not many ppl seem to break them. 🤣
They are solid and hold their own on a track.
I do not own one but you won't have to look hard to find ppl who do that will confirm. 😉
Their part quality is top notch too.
You can find all the Tekno info you'll ever be able to process @Littlemotor 's page. 😎
There have been a few used ones that pop up here but they sell ultra fast!
Lots of options and ideas for you here.👍

Sweet, thanks!

As a newbie here and still learning how to drive my trucks, I must say, the Mojave I have is fast on 3s batteries and it has taken all the crashes I've had and still comes back for more. My first RC from way back when didn't last thru one crash before it was wrecked.
