Ok. Well it sounds like everything is in order so far. Def take a min to check that punch bolt. Although for a rtr, it should have been shipped 'tight', engine manufacturers ship their engines with the carbs loose for ease of installation. It will only take a second to check, a min to tighten if need be.
Curious if you were able to get the gap in the exhaust snugged up? It may not be an issue At all, but as we are kind of grasping at straws right now, it may not be a bad idea to get that straightened out. It's just one less possible thing.
Don't forget to be sure your clutch is free as well.
I'll be watching for that pic and will be sure to post any other ideas I come up with.
Hang in there. We'll get this sorted.

Thank you very much I really do hope we can get this sorted. I think I managed to close up the gap in the exhaust so that's all good I think, I think I just nudged the exhaust which knocked it out of place a little. I will check the carburetor momentarily but unfortunately I am unable to test the car today as it has been raining all day and still is and I have nowhere under shelter outside to test but I will try tomorrow morning and post the results on here. I will try and take the better photo when I check the carburetor and upload it when I check the punch bolt.

Once again thank you for taking the time to help me and teaching me all these important things.

Okay thank you for all this information, I actually feel as if I am slowly but surely learning. I will try this when I get home later today and let you know of the results. I think today I shall use a heatgun to heat the engine too rather than a hairdryer.

Thank you Madfire, it is so frustrating. I've watched 1 million videos and everyone is able to start their car at least but I suppose you can't master everything first time :p. I will also try your advice tonight when I get home.

Thank you both for being patient with me and not loosing your rag xD
No problem but if all doesn't work, you can maybe take out the engine and have to redue something I guess. Idk if this is bad but you could try leaning the engine then when you have it running you could richin it back

I too had a hell of a time getting my nitro Savage to start initially. Was mostly due to a weak glow igniter in my case. Glowed, but not as hot as it glowed with a better igniter.

Hello, sorry for the much late post, I was having problem with my real car today but fortunately it is fixed. I tried a few things you guys suggested and the car was still not starting unfortunately. I went to an RC shop kind of close to me today to see if they could look over everything and make sure it's okay and the guy in the shop started it first time... I was gob-smacked and embarrassed to be honest. He put an 18% Nitro mix into the car whereas I was putting a 25% mix into the car so this could have maybe been the problem. It's too dark outside now to test anything but I purchased 1 L of 18% Nitro mix fuel and hopefully I will have a good result tomorrow. I will create and video and post it on here to show you guys and see if you guys could offer constructive criticism.

The idle on the car is a little high at the moment so when he started it, it did want to go somewhat but he said this is fine how it is because it's not a lot and it keeps the car running I should adjust it after the car has been broken in.

Thank you very much everyone. Will update results ASAP.

That is very understandable however you have taught me a lot of useful information that I am going to always refer too. I will let you know how the car goes tomorrow. Thank you for your help.

My new Hyper SS RTR Cage 28. came today and I was happy and great because it's my first new nitro RC car I have literally been waiting weeks for this thing. Brand new car.

When it came I finally got it all set up as I thought I should and how tutorials showed me and the car just does not start... Fresh fuel... Fresh car... I messed with the carb setting and eventually the car ran for 2 or 3 second but then cut out. The car couldn't even make it the full idle tank of the break in procedure. However upon me consitantly changing them to keep the engine running I eventually messed it up.

Because I messed it up I went to look in the manual for the factory settings and the only manual I had was how to assemble to car from scratch, not written guide or anything so I had to look online for the engine manual and I have reset them to what I think is the factory settings again.

Another question I was curious to ask was, how tight should my glowplug be because sometimes I am finding it difficult to pull the pull start.
I still havent ran my truck yet since i bought it new. Lol I've ran 2 tanks so far, hipefumly now i got it goin in ghe right direction. From my short experience, this is whats worked for me. I messed with the throttle settings on the transmitter aka the remote, if i got that right. Make sure its set high then you can turn it down once it starts if it idles high. Pinching the fuel line helps a little.getting fuel flow. And mostly covering the exhaust for a couple pulls then do it with your finger off. That seems to make mine start quicker. I'm finally just now going to try the rest of my full break in today hopefully. Lol. Dont give up bc i was ready to. Come to find out after i tested my glow plug and it wasn't lit, it was bc my glow plug starter wasn't charged. Even though i charged it for 3 hours just days before. Goodluck man I'm right there with ya! I know nothing about engines so its real new to me! :D

The glow plug should be a little loose and maybe if you heat up the engine with a dryer or heat gut, It might work if it's cold outside

I didnt know it was supposed to b loose, mine is tightened down snug. Minds statting fine nos though, should i loosen it? Whats the difference loose vs tight? Lol

The glow plug should be a little loose, and the settings need to be rich for the break in. If it is cold outside you can use a heat gun or blow dryer?

Hello unfortunatly the weather has been terrible these past days and I haven't been able to try the car since, hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Thank you for being patient.

I know the feeling. Got my brushless revo for Christmas and only had a few days since that were above 10F outside. Of course, today is one of those days and I'm working... well, mostly working. ;)

Got another set of lipo's in the mail coming soon, so I can make the most of what little time I have.

Just checking in. I've been busy and unable to talk. Wanted to know how you've made out since your last posts???

I've got mine running good, well starting and staying on atleast. Lol. Its actually fairly warm today, may take mine out and actually drive it around for the first time. I'm going to have to get it to where it won't shut off when i hit the brakes all the way. I can ease on them, but not fully.

It could be loading up with fuel do to the rich setting ,after its broke in after awhile with a leaner tune will help!...
