Been running anaconda truck tires on my slash for a long long time. I think it's time for a change.

Wanting something SCT size. Either SCT or Baja style wheels and tires. Want something good for off-road and onroad and lasts a while. Any ideas on a new setup? Or I was just thinking on getting stock slash tires off of Jenny's like the BFGs. Running 2s on a hobbywing system so nothing much power wise.

Probably something chrome wheels since @luke66 says chrome pops better with the bomb Pop body.

Edit: I run talon exts on my rustler and do extremely well. If only Traxxas made them or even the sledgehammers in SCT size I would buy it.

I've been highly impressed with the stock tires on my slash ultimate. The compound is half decent. They actually do really good our track. Of course once they're worn I'll probably go to something micro knobby. But if you're looking for budget friendly the BFGs on Jenny's would be great

Upgraded my Rusty to Pro-Line Gladiators mounted to ARRMA 2.2/3.0 14mm hex rims. Got a set of 14mm AL adapters for the axles. Good grass tire. Might wear too quickly for on/off road though if you're looking for a dual-purpose basher. Off-road its a good all-arounder without the deep lugs of a MT. Swap them onto my 2WD Senton for the odd session as well. -AC

It's all about how much traction you're willing to give up and your definition of "lasts a while" when looking for that ultimate multi-surface tire. Just spend the $$$ on the largest medium compound knobby tire you can find... call it a day. Or spend $25 and roll the dice...

I don't know about you, but I got spare closed cell foam inserts that I'd use on the cheapest unmounted large knobby tires I could find. I've never ran anything other than Pro-Line's Street Fighter SC tires for on-road use so I can't comment on cheap tires and open cell foams. I can see larger side wall SCT tires folding over while running on blacktop (asphalt)... am I over thinking things? 🤷‍♂️ 🤔

Amain now has its own basher tire brand - Upgrade RC. Have a set of Saw Blades wish listed. May yet get an order in today. They're 2.8 wheels with replaceable 12/14/17mm hex inserts. Price seems competitive too. Scroll down on the link for the demo vid. Good luck. Cheers. -AC
