New aluminum crawler wheel options from JConcepts - 2.0" wheels for 1.9" tires

JC has 4 new CNC aluminum wheel options for crawlers. The first 3 are new 2.0" wheels which fit 1.9" tires, and the fourth one is a new 2.2" wheel.

They're priced at $153 for a set of 4. At first glance of the descriptions, it seems like the 2.0" wheels come in different offsets and backspacing. There are different width hubs available for purchase separately to get your stance just where you want it.

My first thoughts (which nobody asked for!)
None of the designs are very unique and the price is outrageous. I'm sure they're machined nicely but I don't want to pay for machining that I'm going to re-machine on some rocks by way of scrapes and scratches. Personally, I'll stick to the $40 Amazon specials. Swing and a miss on JC's part? Vanquish already has the overpriced, over-quality toy truck wheel market on lock.

A week ago I bought a 1/8th nitro buggy for one fifth of that price... I could never afford having crawlers with upgraded parts

I could see how easy it is to dive DEEP into the upgrade rabbit hole. I need to stay away from crawlers too. For now at least.

Nice looking wheels.
I was interested thinking OG Optima Mids also had 2.0" wheels.
I think these aren't the ones for my Mid tho.

Crawlers definitely have an endless aftermarket compared to the other niches of the RC hobby. BUT, they are also very easily DIY'd on the cheap into capable machines utilizing spare junk, random parts and pieces from the hardware store, even parts from other non-crawler RCs. That's what I love most about them!

those are nice but ill go with the chineasium made rims for my pocket lol, the expensive rims dont outperform the cheapos, but people qith money are happy to buy em so their little truck looks more expensive than my little truck, meanwhile i am just worried about how much of my truck is gonna break. never had a rim break on me. i must not be doing it right.....

I'm starting to see that some brands of parts are cross compatible just by following all the crawler builders here.

We have some slick builders and very creative 3D designers in this forum.
Its still hard for me to determine how much actually fits and how much was 'made' to fit with dermel, file and saw. Hatchet, axe and saw.

I am looking to venture out of the depths of the Kyosho rabbit hole I'm currently buried in, but I still have much more to build... CUSTOM crawlers will wait.

Stock tho...

I see a clear need for a mini, crawler, smaller something for indoor winters here. An indoor crawler track is a reasonable thing and could easily entertain me and Mrs Certified during rough months of winter.

Its always good to hear from the budget oriented side of building too.

Injora and Treal have never let me down. I can buy three sets of wheels for What Jconcepts are asking for one set. I guess some folks are willing to spend more for a name.

No micro for me. 1/14, 1/12 is prob as small as I see me going. Mini Z looks so good but tiny screws and cromagnon hands don't go.

True. Every time I set the gear mesh on my FG monstertruck, I have to lay on the ground and put the car between two seats above me so I can loosen the screws without the engine changing position

Expensive, but who else offers the 2.0 clearance for big portals boxes and the level of detail. The Ballistic version looks just sick! Vintage slot look with a with modern beadlock
