I have a 1/8 scale rc buggy.
1. Is goolrc a good brand.
2. Is a 2250kv a good motor for a 1/8
3. Is a 120 amp sensors brushless ESC good for a 2250kv motor and buggy?

Thanks

I'd use at least a 185 amp ESC. mine are all 200 or more in 1/8 size

Odd, considering the entire arrma 1/8th lineup comes with 150A esc's in them...

From what I've read, castle's MMX/MMv2 are 120A esc's, not sure how it really works though as they are larger than other brands that are also rated 120A... (comparing my MMX, MMv2 to my HW Max10 SCT and traxxas vxl-3s).

If your on a tighter budget, you might want to check out a hobbwing max8 combo. I haven't read a lot that's good about the goolrc lineup. The motors seem to be ok, but the esc's aren't that great.

You can get a take off arrma combo from jenny's rc for a decent price usually. The blx185/2050kv system they put in all their 1/8th stuff. 2250kv would be ok in a buggy as long as it's a 4070 or longer motor. The castle motor I ran in my ERBE was a 4074 2200kv. I've seen smaller 3660-3670 sized motors that are lower kv, but they are intended for 1/10th scale vehicles.

Looks like jenny's is out of stock. :(

You can build the combo for about $150:

Josh Id think about another brand not a Gool fan ...A 120 amp is is ok... I have from 600 amp to 85 amp in my 1/8 Rc.. the less amp escs I'm not to hard on.. the 1s over 120 amp I'm hard on ...

Curious what 600A esc you have? Is that 600A peak or continuous? If continuous, would assume it's pretty big. The max6 (160A 1/6th) I just put in my outcast and ERBEv2 are both quite a bit larger than the MMv2 (120A 1/8th) and BLX185 (150A 1/8th) they replaced.

I once tested A few esc for Graupner.Quark and a few other esc makers. Most fail the Quark MK3 was great Got 3 b4 failed co. went by..
