Alright! How do you "resize" a &%*$(#$ image! I shoot with my Nikon and it is on a higher resolution and it is at 3008 X 2000! How do I resize the image to download here so I can post pics?!?!?! Need help please.

Take it to your photo editing program. choose 'image size'. Resize it, then hit 'save as'. You reduce the file size as a .jpg untill you reach 130Kb or less.

Or you can use Flock.

It can upload a shitload of pics at one time to Photobucket, and you can set it to resize them all to wahtever size you want.

I use a simple jpg resizer. Their site is no longer online though... but I do have the executable in a zip and put it on my ftp site: JPEG Resizer

It's a small program, but you can do quite a bit with it very easily. It will resize all pictures you add to the list and spit them out in a different folder or overwrite the originals. You choose the size, compression rate, file destination folder, file naming scheme...

I've been using it for a few years.

If you're using XP, go to google and type in "tweakui". Hit "I'm feelin lucky", and that should take you to the microsoft page. Down on the right side, you'll see "Image Resize Powertoy". Install that, and resizing images becomes a right-click affair.

Ok heartbreak I downloaded the Image resize program. I went into Picasa and clicked on a picture. I does not give me the option to resize it. Do I have to move it out of Picasa?

I would imagine you would have o put the photo on your desk top or in a folder to get that option.

I'm not completely for sure though, sorry I can't help more

Elmer, yeah, you have to save the picture out to a gif, jpeg or bmp. You can save it on the desktop, or in a folder (doesn't matter). You have to right click (in explorer) on the file to get the menu. From there, it's pretty straight-forward.
