The car is called the ftx carnage and I will send you some picks tomorrow because it is in my garage

A lot of times when this happens it is a throttle trim knob keeping the ESC from functioning. For example - if you could turn your car on with the throttle trigger pulled, the car would instantly take off on you. So they have what is called a failsafe that prevents the ESC from coming on if there is a throttle being triggered. Your throttle trim knob can cause this same failsafe to disengage your ESC. So make sure the throttle trim is at zero before turning on your car.

Sorry everyone I got it wrong the car goes forward and backwards but doesn't steer. I would send you a video but its not working :(
swap channel 1 and channel 2 on your receiver and see if the steering works with the throttle instead of the wheel. If it still doesn't work then your servo is bad. If it does work then your receiver may have a bad channel.

Ok, that is a whole different thing. On your receiver, swap the throttle and esc csbles and see if the steering servo works with your trigger. If not, you need a new servo.

Short video explaining the issue

But it seems like the servo is working?

After messing with the steering trim setting on the transmitter it seems to work! Does that make sense! 🤔

From the looks of it you have two things going on. The servo saver is slipping, possibly broken. And the servo doesn't seem to be working properly. Pull the steering linkage apart and see what is going on. With the linkage off, see how well the servo works. It may be that something is in a bind, so just tear it down and find the problem. If the servo doesn't work with no linkage attached to it you may need to replace your servo.
