You really can't fit a heatsink directly on the motor, well, depends on how wide the heatsink is, bc the waterfall mount goes over the motor. I'm pretty sure I seen a post on FB back when and he I guess created a mount for a fan on the backside of the motor like the 1/10 22 design.

Heres the waterfall mount:

I would try to fit a fan here if needed like most 1/10 buggies use:

Possible to trim the waterfall mount to fit a heatsink? Sure, but the mount helps secure the motor mount and helps it be sturdy, so...

I don't run a fan on my mini b. And I run stock gearing too. I would suggest what WF said with gearing down. As long as it's not overheating above 160ish degrees you're fine. If my eyes aren't playing games your motor is 4800kv? If so it should stay ultra cool since it's a low kv. I would assume so. If you're running 2s. 3s is a different story. I used to race my mini b back in the day with a 6100kv surpass motor (rebranded king val electronics) and it got toasty but not to the point it would shut down the system within a 5-10 minute track session.

Edit:
Found this. Integrated fan into the waterfall mount. Pretty neat design.

Also this one. Not sure how it installs in the car though. Guess in the side rail.
