I am getting a Losi Mini LST and need to get a good charger for it. My only real requirement is that it charges Lipos just so I will be covered if I get Lipos in the future. However, there are other factors that would be nice as well such as AC powered, dual battery charging capability and a good discharge rate. I would like to stay below ~$150 and my short list is as follows:

Duratrax ICE - Looks great except I would need a seperate power source (+$100 at least) and it only has one output. It does have tons of seemingly cool features though and I have heard good things about it.

MRC Superbrain 977 - Doesn't have all of the features of the ICE but still seems like it would do pretty much everything I need. I know the 969 had problems with Lipos which they have supposedly fixed but I still don't seem to hear much about the MRC chargers.

Hobbico Acu-Cycle Elite - Once again seems to have everything I want but I don't hear too much about it.

Great Planes Triton - I have heard good things about them but they are DC and only have one output. I would probably go with the ICE over this one.

If the ICE had AC power I would probably go with it. If it had AC and two outputs I would almost definately go with it. However, it doesn't so I am now in a quandry. Sorry for the drawn out post but I am really confused as to what I should get. Any input on the models I listed or any chargers that didn't make my list but would be a good option would be very helpful. Thanks.

Matt

I'm not sure if there is a single charger out there to fit all your requirements. You will need to decide what features are the most important and go from there.

I have the ice myself and keep kicking my own ass for not getting the triton....they are basically the same charger but the triton will do 20 cells (E-maxx or other Elec MT packs) and also charges the Gel packs for your bump box......the Ice is geared more towards elec racers...it has a motor breakin feature I will personally NEVER use.....elec wasted enough of my time :D.......don't look at DC power supplies from a Hobby shop....search tripp-lite DC power supply and get at least 10 amps....if you are going to use a feature like the ICE's breakin then you need at least 15amps.......I got a 20 amp and run everything in my pit from it including my starter box......the AC adapter already in teh charger is nice but you seem to get better chargers if they have no converter built in, for less......
