Do you still have all of your broken ones?
I've only had my slash for 8 months.
Had my slash for 8 years (xmas of 2015)
Yep still have all of them. Since the stock Mike Jenkins one is rare, its still in pretty good shape, to me, and so I try to keep it that way. If I want to sell it, I'm wanting to get atleast 65 dollars for it.

If you do get short course bodies, go with ProLine or JConcepts, as they are better plastic, like thicker and less flexible, and they last longer / more durable than the traxxas ones. SCT bodies get ripped up. Most common is the fenders / wheel wells, and where the body posts go through.

Update: I know its been a while since I have given an update. Just been busy lately. I got a new car. a Traxxas Bandit VXL. pretty much bone stock, except for the 32- tooth pinion that is aftermarket, also the street wheels. I also just put together and ran my Traxxas Stampede after a six month slumber. I had used some of the parts off of it for different cars like the bandit and my slash. I'm thinking its time for some upgrades considering I've never broken anything on that truck, which is remarkable because I've had it for over 3 years! I might get the aftermarket proline body mounts and a new body because the body is beaten to death. It also has Aftermarket Wheels because the Originals are not really on the rim anymore. The only changes on the Slash are pretty much cosmetic. Things like a new body, considering one of the last updates was that I destroyed my body, and some new wheels. Other than that and a truckload of plastic spur gears and a new transmitter and receiver ( I had to change it because I had no reverse and it made me mad ) Every thing has pretty much held up. Will be trying to post more on the update of the stampede since I'm going to give it the love it deserves after all these years.

Love the bandit. Even the 12t brushed version is actually a super capable little buggy. I bet that vxl rips

Update: so I was running my Traxxas stampede earlier this week, and I noticed that the diff was going out. I put a new/old diff in there (was from a brand new car that kept blowing up transmission parts). What I don't get is that later last year I noticed this so I bought some new planetary gears for the diff and they had not that much run time on them. there was a long period where it just sat. I guess that could be the reason? I wanted to make sure that wasn't the only problem so I examined the rest of the gears and everything seemed to be fine. Another thing I noticed is that when I pulled on both ends where the axles connect, it was super sloppy with a lot of movement. Is that normal? Is it not? Can someone please explain this??

Update: So my uncle sold his two 4tecs earlier last week, so he now has nothing to play with. Felt bad for him so I came up with an idea: How about we get the ol' Granite voltage running again?? I kinda am attached to this car because it is my first hobby grade rc car and it brings me sadness whenever I look at it sitting in a thousand pieces. Story about this car is I bought it for $60 (Black Friday deals) around November of 2020. Drove it for a few months, got in trouble, and my uncle acquired it. I think it was February of 2021 when he put a 3s system in it. That's when it went down hill. It ran for five minutes. The trans took a crap and the tires were basically off the rims. ever since then, the trucks been laying around. ( I also failed to mention that its been on FIRE...) 3 years later, this weekend we cobbled it together and now has a new name, "Frankentruck" As soon as I drove the thing around, A bunch of memories flooded my brain. It was a blast Driving that thing after 3 long years!! I honestly might by it off of him... but for know what we are going to do is get some new wheels, new transmitter and receiver, and probably a rebuild kit for the Traxxas steering servo (very crunchy when turning). two pictures down below is my stampede with an Impala body and a Corvette body. If you look to the right you can clearly see the truck sitting in the background. then there are some after we cobbled it together. This gave us an excuse to go to Hobby Town. Also ended up getting the diff outdrive for the truck and some body caps for my slash, as well as a new motor for my stampede.

My bandit was owned by an old man in a retirement home. wanted to try the hobby out. bought anaconda tires and bought a 3000 mah nimh battery and ran it once, and sat for 2 years in the box.

Fuuuuun!

I like the Bandit. I've been needing one but no one has one for sale used. Don't wanna buy a new car to chop up and MM it.
There is a Facebook marketplace ad about one. its in greenback TN and its a VXL. if I can remember he want 180 for it

Did you get a good deal on it?
