I got a superbrain charger used for the cost of shipping from a friend and I was wondering if any of you could explain how to use it.

I will also be getting an MX-3 with 4 reciever for the price of shipping from the same guy. He is really great.

Ok, about the charger, I am charging my 6v 1000mAh pack and it registers at 6.24v on the charging and it is charging it higher but it is a dead battery. Is that a good thing? Quick response, it's charging now.

Let it go. You prob set the voltage cutoff at 3mv per cell. Thats fine. It will get more into them. Just keep and eye on the mAh. If it gets too high and the pack gets hot, stop it.

Ask him if he has anything else he wants to unload hehehe

He had 2 Kanai 2 buggies and a Hyper 7 that little really nice but he sold them for 1/10 scale electrics :nono: He said it's easier to run them and he got a electric buggy and he said it stays with the nitro buggies.

Oh, I was wondering if I could charge my glowplug ignighter with it. I was told to set the power to like 0.5 on something and it'll charge but I tried just connecting the pos and neg and when I press start it says error. How would I go about doing this?

I would have to read the manual. I'm not certain if it can charge a single cell.

You are going to want to invent in a handful of connectors for all your battery types once you get into it.

I have a couple, one for the radio that came off another charger but I could always remove the 8 pack plastic case from the xr2 and use the alligator clips on it. There isn't much info at all on the 3 page manual minus the picture on the first page. The second page is operating instructions and the third is advanced instuctions that isn't much differant from normal except it says you can adjust the setting, and fourth I think is trouble shooting or the company adderess.

GT, I have a 959. You can use it to charge your glow ingiters BUT (AND THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT) you need to contact MRC and get the single cell adapter. If you try to charge just one cell at 0.5 mA, you'll blow the charger. Belive me. I did this. You have to get the adapter. They should send it to you for free, or at least minimal cost. Then you can do single cells.

Eeek! I charged one cell for 5-10 mins untill it got hot the removed it and unplugged the cgarger and then I continued charging my hump pack

Lucky you didn't fry it. I put one cell on at 0.5 A, and within 30 seconds the charger smoked and made a loud pop. Next thing I know it's a corpse. Luckily they replaced it for me.

Yup. Gotta love a company that will do that. I even told them it was my fault. And about a week later I get a brand new one in the mail...

Sweet  So you think the one cell adaptor will be free? I'm going to talk to them now.

sweet, I'm back and it's like two minutes later. Even with my bad phone skill I got through pretty quickly and after I asked if I could charge my glow plug igniter he asked my name and adderess so he could send me the attachment immediatly. Thanks guys, and thank you MRC. I really like this charger and if you have hump packs, rechargable batteries in your radio, or glowplug igniters that don't charge on the crappy charger suplied you can spend $46 and charge everything as high as it could possibly go.
