No big plans for this, mainly just going to focus on eliminating the bounce from the suspension and add some weight up front.

Its almost inevitable that ill burn up the electronics, so maybe a brushless system in the future.

Off to a bad start already though, less than 5 minutes into some minor crawling at the park and the front left axle shaft already broke.

Redcat wants $27 for an axle shaft kit (and thats on sale) and another $16 for shipping, which would be half the price of the car. Hoping the warranty team comes through, if not this will be getting returned to the LHS. But I've heard good things about redcat warranty so we'll see.

Bummer because I was really excited for this thing. Hopefully its just a defect and the axle shafts arent actually that weak.

Stuff happens ig. Was going to just suck it up and buy the axle kit until I saw $16 for shipping. Which is crazy because pretty sure I could ship the entire truck in the factory box for less than that.

Like a said I'm really hoping warranty comes through because it was a lot of fun for 3 minutes lol

That's a 100% legit warranty claim. Hopefully they do the right thing.

I gave mine a pretty good work out last weekend, all I got was a new dent in the roof. Sucks the axle broke. All the reviews I have seen say this kicks the SCX30's but in performance. Really surprised by this. Hope they make good on it.

From what crawling i did get to do with it, seemed to out perform the scx24 lexus. Would like to do a comparison video and see

The metal feels okay. A little light. But it broke at the absolute weakest point, right where the shaft turns into a ball to accept the universal pivot shaft thing. The metal is incredibly thin right there

If I got a joint that small at the dispensary, I'd bring it back too!!!

$16 for shipping is stupidity!!! You could wrap 4 of those in a stamp and mail them for under a buck!

I'm thinking maybe it's such a new product that they haven't properly inventoried it and maybe have the weight or size missing so they just default to something bigger causing the high shipping.

I think it'll be pretty cool little rig once the kinks are figured out

Looks like all of it! So ill have some spares too. Still pretty steep for as small as they are lol can't believe they're $31 usually. Especially considering it's only an $80 rig

The parts prices are kind of crazy.
Is it just this truck or are Recat parts expensive in general?

Hopefully the new shafts last a bit longer!
