good finds!I use to post MGT. parts when I see them ,because of them being rare ,I always scan E-bay for extra parts
every now & then!

Thanks bro!
Ahhhh I gotchaI may have an extra mount laying around ,I would have to check ,those parts like that ,I would be willing to let go if
someone really needed it!
The original mounts are sloted where the engine bolts to the mount ,that makes it easy when your using different
types of clutch bells ,flys an clutches ,it lets you adjust the engine back & forth to where it will line up to the spur
gear!
Some of the aftermarket stuff like the Nova's ,the adjustments are at the base of the mount an use the screws
with nuts!
Ahhhh I gotcha
What's it doing man?I officially tap out

Again will I buy a used nitro. I don't care what it is or how cheap it is.
??![]()
Lol I have never bought a new nitro, have bought 2 new engines and 1 rebuild though in 10 carsWhat's it doing man?
I already sealed the backplateHigh temp RTV can be used to seal the backplate, i dont know if that one is supposed to have a o-ring in it.
ok man, we all do have our breaking point.
video above is a raccoon so i guess i am a bit confused lol
with an air leak, especially if it is in the carb, it wont prime fuel very well at all. you might be able to find an o-ring kit for another engine with similar sizes.
starting with a new engine would probably be the best way to get going, I've been pretty well lucky in that i have had the correct o-rings for replacing in most of the engines I've had as for awhile there i would buy o-ring kits that had sizes similar and would stock up on those.
With the tank, hook both lines up to it while its empty, blow into one of the lines while plugging the other, does it hold pressure? does the cap flip up? on both of mine i put an extra o-ring in the fuel line pickup where it exits the tank, kind of sandwiched and created a better seal that way.
i would remove the piston and sleeve, and see how far the piston can go up into the sleeve. if the piston can push past the top of the sleeve its done for.
