Well body ordered now. Got to thinking (dangerous I know ) but with the esc getting relocated to the top of the center diff it’s going to be pretty high and far back, might interfere with a truck bed if I went with the raptor body

FWIW, if we were talking 2.0, not a huge difference between them (MT/SCT). OG MT410 and SCT410.3 had more differences I believe.

yeah @Lostinthewoods86 has the mt i have the sct and i just blonded out and convinced myself we were building same truck, was good timesexcept i was taking the advice and suggestions for his truck and was about to build mine the same lol, I'm a goof

Majin, I don’t know what parts need to be swapped, but given what your intended use sounds like, a monster truck might be what you want

Also note that the 2.0 is a little smaller then the og in this thread.

The Spektrum stuff is a lot better than most RTR stuff. Our 3s Granite is actually too damned powerful. I am sticking a Spektrum ESC in our X-Maxx if I ever get back on that project.

I just put av2 Firma 160 in me Xmaxx, had a g1 max6 in it, which was great, but I wanted 8.4v BEC. I had the brand new v2 Firma 160a laying around so in it went. It has at least as much punch as the max6 (G1). The Spektrum S905 in the Xmaxx woke right up on 8.4v too! I have no issues with the Firma esc's, or any HW rebrand for that matter. I have Redcat, Hobao, BLX, all have served me well. It's nice to be satisfied by low budget stuff!! Can't miss what I never had..LOL

Yes, what I was getting at. Can basically convert back and fourth between the two (2.0).. winner-winner!!

i would have gotten the monster truck but was too late, I'm stoked to have the go fast sct tho, I'm also just gonna give it hell

I was just pointing that out that you should be able to swap the sct to a mt based on the tekno site? Wouldn’t see why not? But you still got a bad ass ride either way

Still a great rig, MAYBE less overbuilt than the SCT410.3 was, but much more faster due to lighter weight. I might suggest a hybrid build of the 2.0 parts to gain more durability if your intent is to bash.. or, just convert to MT as you go. Still a great buy, no such thing as a bad Tekno. Badass, yes.

Do you know what parts are changed between the two? I was trying to find a list instead of going through individual parts lists on the tekno site

I don't, sorry. I like to use Jenny's rc to cross part numbers. A quick search there tells me both MT and SCT 2.0 use same chassis, towers and arms. Body mounts and chassis bracing will be different I'd guess. Just keep in mind that JRC can and does make mistakes from time to time, so always double check elsewhere on compatibility of parts before pulling the trigger.
BTW JRC would be a great place to get the OE Tekno parts if it makes sense, sometimes not as they often group parts together that may not be needed.

The SCT4120.2 and MT410.2 share most all parts except the chassis plate, mud guards, center drive shaft, (all are longer on the SCT) bumpers and the body mounts

Good catch, see over on JRC when I searched TKR9502 (MT410 2.0 chassis), they showed me both the MT and SCT 2.0 chassis.. gotta tay appention.

I was planning too! I need to get the new raptor body rough cut and see. Also want to get the tires on it, might make it easier for my eyes to picture it anyways . Good news is tires showed delivered this morning . Bad news, I gotta pick my parents up at the airport tonight and they staying through Monday, won’t be messing with this much over the weekend

and it may actually look more righter then the one that I have hacked up to fit the mt8 worst case I just gotta get more rc’s to put all these bodies on, just can’t keep all the bodies in the closet
