True, I guess a Monster is a bit of an overkill. I tend to err on the side of overkill rather than cutting things fine. Maybe that's where I'm going wrong ;)

Finally got paid for some knives I sold on feebay so the MM Pro has been ordered.

Still waiting on the Rocksmith links........

It's here.

Now I need to whip out the 969 and do some soldering.

Still don't have the links.

He's killing me!

Might need to remind him he took awhile to send me my steering stuff to but it was worth it.

I hate slow vendors! Is the MM Pro the same foot print as the regular Max Rob?

I was at FastEddy's shop this past Sat and we ran this rig around his place for about 15 minutes. Nothing hard, but it was running the entire time. When I reached down to pick it up the body was very warm from the heat coming off the Sidewinder. I didn't have my temp gun unfortunately.

Got home and recharged the lipo and it only took 600mah. I am guessing I should be able to get about 20-25 minutes of crawling out of a 1350mah pack. Not great, but acceptable for comps since I have a backup. I am going to get a third lipo since they are inexpensive so I can run it longer while bashing around.

The MM Pro has the same footprint as the Sidewinder which is one of the reasons I like it besides the fan.

A lot smaller than the regular Max.

Sent him another friendly reminder. At least he does get back to me pretty fast. He should be making them this weekend and get them sent out on Monday.

Crossing my fingers.

If I remember, your a maxamps kinda guy arent your rob? The 1500 3s Mystery packs are like $30ish for 2 shipped just incase you wanna stalk up on a few of them as back ups. Turnigy has some real cheap 3s packs as well from hobby king.

I'm using Thunder Power packs on this rig.

Finally got away from the over priced Maxamps packs and am happy I did.

Thunder power is a good brand. Never had a problem with thier stuff. The only maxamps I used swelled on me within 3 uses.

I have never had a problem with Maxamps packs. Overpriced for sure, but I like the variety they offer.

I just buy ebay hong kong specials lol they take like 2 weeks to get here but work well and are small. Oh and CHEAP!

Yep you can't beat Hong Kong packs with a price of $30 for to 1500mah 25C 3S lipo batteries shipped to your door, got mine in the mail yesterday and wow were my old packs toast, my rig is alive again lol!!! Those Thunder Power packs should work good for you.

Hang time!

I picked up my daughter at a friends house today. The property was a crawlers dream so I whipped out the Losi and popped its cherry. No longer is the body all nice and shiny. Links, skid and diffs are no longer new. Can't wait for Rocksmith forever. I definitely need some lexan skids on the links to protect the pullers.

So far I am very happy with this rig. Plenty of wheel speed and torque. Bound it up a few times without any breakage as well. At one point I had to move the rock in order to get the rig out of the wedge I stuck it in. I need to remember I now have did and learn when to use it.

In addition to the ample rock piles, they had a nice area of concrete stairs I climbed up once I approached them correctly.

The above pic was at the bottom of the stairs where there was a drop off. I was able to go down and lock it in place and let it sit there as shown.

Oddly I crawled for well over 20 minutes and the Sidewinder never failed. I'm still going to swap to the MM Pro though for piece of mind.

Ok Rob, I have to show my stupid side becuase I can't take it any more! What is "dig"? I keep seeing references to it by you crawler guys and I keep hoping to happen upon enough info to piece together what it is but it ain't happening for me.

BTW, that's an awesome pic

Dig is a disengage on one motor causing it to lock that axle. So you can hit dig and the rear axle will lock and you can spin the front and it will turn on a dime. Or slide the front over on a rock. On MOA's and Losi's they have front and rear dig. On shaftys the dig is in the tranny.

Puttin on a show huh? Lol. Looks good Rob.
