Finally got around to starting my MOA conversion for my LCC.

Fist step for me was to drill some holes in the chassis in order to drop the battery mount as low as possible.

Next step was to check and re-grease the worm gears.

This is where the build is now on hold LMFAO.

Gears look fine.

Until you compare the spools to what they are supposed to look like.

The spools gears are cut in the wrong direction.

I only have 1 replacement I bought as spare parts so I sent a note to Rich at Losi requesting replacements. Hopefully they will arrive by next Friday.

I will work on mounting up my set of Rovers to my Vanquish DH locks and post pics.

I suppose I can also solder the leads onto my Punk RC dig switch.

Sigh...............

Let me just say the Rich Trujillo with Losi is without a doubt the best company rep I have ever dealt with.

This is his day off and 22 minutes after sending him the email with pics I got a response from him and the replacement gears will go out on Monday

I didn't even expect a response until Monday.

3 thumbs up Rich. You are one of the reasons my son is getting a Losi Night Crawler for Xmas.

Yes Rich is THE MAN! Couldnt ask for better support! Lookin good so far man. Might be a MOA conversion in my near future ;)

Ok, so it's obvious to me that you are still utilizing the worm gear transaxles. So what is the orientation of the motors? Are they parallel with the ground or at an angle?

Well, either way it's relative depending on the suspension compression. Just curious. I would think they would angle up slightly.. just trying to visualize it since there are no pictures :stick:

The motor sits parallel with the worm gear output shaft.

So whats the parts list Rob??? What wheels you gonna run?

Going to be using Rovers on Vanquish DH Pro-Comps. 585 spacers on the front and 335 in the rear. I also have a set of 460's in case I want to try them.

Other parts...
7950TH steering servo
HH 7t Cobalt Pullers
CC Sidewinder and BEC (may go with Mamba Max if this is not up to the task)
Maxamps 3S 2000mah pack
PunkRC dig switch
RockSmith steering links (these are sweet)
Eritex MOA conversion
Losi aluminum F/R carriers, front spindles, servo mounts and lower link mounts
Losi Ti Nitride steering knuckle bushings and king pins

I also have a set of Bottoms Up SS and Aluminum wheels on order. I plan on mounting Leopards on this to try out.

This rig will be the one I plan on dedicating my time to. Next season I plan on attending as many local comps as I can and will be putting other racing in the backseat for awhile instead of the other way around.

Yes the rocksmith steering setup is SWEET! I was the first one to test and review it and I was NOT disappointed at all!

I thought they quit making the 7t pullers?

Awesome! I've wanted a set and "almost" bought some every time I've bought new rims but I'm always in a rush and end up going with something else. Should look sick!

What radio you run?

Hell yeah! You have/had alot of real nice vintage stuff Rob.

Yeah, my dad was a pack rat and never tossed anything away. All the stuff I left in my room when I moved out was simply put aside and he proceeded to pile my old room with stuff. After almost 2 years, half my workshop is still stacked with boxes of stuff from his place. Every once in awhile I take the time to go through a couple of boxes and sell what I don't want to keep on ebay.
