Wow talk about kicking it old school Rob, LOL!!!! Sweet deal for you and glad to see your going to making it too some crawler comps.

Here are a pic of the mounted tires and wheels.

As mentioned, the tires are HB Rovers mounted on Vanquish DH Pro Comp's.

For those that don't know. DH stands for Dirty Harry. As in, "Do you feel lucky! Well do ya.....PUNK!". LMAO

They used to have an image of Harry Callahan himself on the packaging. Now they don't. I guess they got in trouble for it since now they don't.

Just had to post them didnt ya!?!? I love those rims SO much! What foams you gonna run?

Rockhammer Reach #5's.

Oh ok sweet, their nice foams.

How much weight you gonna run in these? They do look sick and all you had to do was part with the old school board to get them, what a deal.

I will be running 3 slugs in the front and none in the rear to start.

When I get home this afternoon I will weight them and post the actual weights.

Fronts are 13.8oz.

Rears are 10.8oz.

Finally received my replacement gears from Losi. Somebody didn't do what they were supposed to which caused a week+ delay.

They even replaced the worm pinions which look fine to me and gave me an extra one.

I am going to use the brand new ones since there could be damage to the other ones from running it with the bad spools.

The Losi V3 CV's also showed up so I now have everything to move forward with this rig.

Been wondering what was going on....Is the lid for this build the one you painted a while back or are you gonna run a different lid?

LMAO

I am going to run the lid I painted a while back.

Oh nice, its a sick paint job for sure.

Thats awesome to hear Rob. When are you going to take the trip to attend one of our comps? :D

I look forward to attending one of your comps. I like the looks of that hatchery area.

First I have to not only complete this rig, but my MRC as well. If I'm going to make the drive, I want to get as much running is as I can.

At least I have all the parts for my MRC in hand so no waiting will be involved.

I have finally gotten some free time to work on this.

Here are some progress photos.

While waiting on my Losi V3 CVD's, I added some bling to my DX3R.

Had to move battery mount back 10mm so it would not interfere with the long ass puller motor can.

Here are some completed shots before I decided where to mount the electrics. The bag is over the motor because I have some drilling to do on the chassis for the mounting plates. I had not covered the other motor yet.

Punk RC Dig Switch all soldered up. Man I love my Hakko 936!

As of this evening I have essentially completed this build. I have mounted all the electrics and gave the rig a quick test in the workshop since it was raining when I got home.

I did have an issue with getting the Punk switch to work with my DX3R. It would only power the rear motor and would not cycle to the rest of the setting. I was in severe frustration mode and had to walk away for awhile. I send an email to Punk RC yesterday evening and got a response within an hour.

The problem was that the DX3R frame rate come preset from the factory at 5.5. In order for it to work with the Punk switch, it must be set to 11. Problem solved.

I will take some final pics of the build and post them up hopefully tomorrow.

Looks great! So what's with the DX3R? I thought you were strictly a Futaba guy.

I only use the DX3R for crawling.

I need the 3 position 3rd channel and my 3PKS does not have it. Not ready to upgrade to the 4PK either.

I also need a RX that can handle more than 6V so I can set my BEC to 7.4v for the high voltage steering servo. The Spektrum RX's can handle up to 9.6v.
