It is, but I have been doing a lot of soul searching. After talking with both yourself and Lloyd I had to really look at my surrounds. As Lloyd pointed out--an all out comp-level crawler is going to be bad-ass, but 1) Can I use it to its potential, and 2) If not can I justify the cost.
The sad truth is that I don't have any great climbing areas anywhere near me. It is desert. There are the occasional rocky groupings, and lava flows (we call 'em malpies) but the one good area to crawl is a State Park called Hueco Tanks. A few years ago the state cut it off to everything save for guided tours and group rock climbing expeditions because they were having to make so many rescues. In fact, this place is a winter mecca for rock climbers!
So, to make a long story short, I decided (after lots of PM's to Lloyd the last two days) that the Losi would be overkill for the little crawling I will be able to do. I am going to, in the next two months, get the AX10 RTC. That way I am only making an investment of $275 dollars on a RTC vs. on a roller. I am thinking that, if I really like the crawler thing, I can either mod out the AX10 or sell it and go Losi 1/10.
So that is the plan, sad as it is. I just can't justify $500+ for something I don't have the terrain for, especially if I don't really get into it.
