It would be nice if they offered that when ordering the kit; a portal axle option (but with a higher quality, more practical way of attaching the tie rod).

That's the secret dig function for the front wheel. Critical for performance!

I bet they drop a portal version at some point in the future. We have four of the H10's in the fleet, so I converted this one to portals. That said, the H10 is an excellent platform to work with, and probably the most versatile unit from Vanquish. We built a pair of rock racers, this portal, and another as 4WS portal.

Thanks to everyone for all the enabling! I only needed the tiniest nudge and I was pretty much violently shoved, as far as I'm concerned.

I have a kit on the way. It will be a budget build for a casual-use, fun buggy. I'm planning on adding the Hobbywing QuicRun Fusion Pro and the Amazon red AGFRC 32kg cordless digital servo, unless convinced not to.

Next, I'll need to choose some budget beadlock wheels that fit the kit and tires to put on them...

None of this was supposed to happen until after the holidays but my compulsive behavior and near-total lack of budgetary responsibility --and you dirty enablers-- got the best (worst?) of me.

The optic is the only RC out right now that I want but dont have. I promised after the DBXL I wouldn't buy any more this year but you can bet. Jan. 1 I'm ordering an optic kit.

Yup... I just have to decide whether I dislike it enough to spend another $30+ to change it. I suppose I could list the green panels on the big auction site and recoup some of my money.

I ordered Vanquish 2.2" Riot wheels and 5.1" Yokohama Geolander M/T tires. Maybe not quite scale-looking, but I'm hoping that will be a good all-around combo.
