oh crap, I missed that for you. yes sold separately but worth the money. You do get a free programmer coupon in the box. I bought one and used it to program more than 10 models. My buddies borrow it now and then. No prep, Crawler, and track racing short course and buggies. I love being able to do it with my phone wherever I am.

Running the Castle 1406-2850kv is the 13T pinion gonna give me to much speed or do I need to bump up to the 15T?

You would need to gear down to a smaller pinion if you looking for less speed. Volt up and gear down is the motto I live by.

So the 13T would be slower than the 15T? I want speed just not crazy speed

Yes. I run a 12 on mine. Good amount of torque and wheel speed. Nice middle ground. It all depends on what you want to do too.

Ok Thanks, I will try the 13T it comes with but I also ordered a 15T to try. But the 15T then may be too much

I 100% agree. There are cheaper alternatives. You can even go brushed with a Hobbywing 1080 and a HH Trailmaster motor for about $70. You will get everything you need and a reliable budget setup.

I ended up getting a Castle Creations 1406-2850 motor and copperhead esc. 164 on Amazon was a dang good deal
