the lil red bottles of 5 hour power work great better then red bull or any of that drove from louisiana to ohio in like 3 days with snowy weather that a Southerner never seen before that thats besides the point 5 hour power still got one around the house for them late nights

So I got back safe and sound on Saturday night and spent most of yesterday recovering. The total time on the road was 13 hours and covered 698 miles. I basically ran on Redbull, coffee, two handfuls of trail mix, and a quarter bag of Doritos for the bulk of the trip. About an hour before getting home, I stopped at the detailer and had the works done on the rig. It took them 2.5 hours to shampoo the rugs and seats, wash the exterior and then put on a fresh coat of wax.

When I got home the wife was stoked to see her new rig and 5 year anniversary gift, a 2002 VW Eurovan. (They stopped importing these in 2003.) It has a DVD player for the kids, the 3rd row seat folds flat to make a bed, and the 2nd row faces the rear. It also has a little fold out table in the center of the van so the kids can play games, eat meals etc.

Thanks again to all for the tips, I was pretty much wide awake the entire trip. I think what helped the most was eating a minimal amount of food, and keeping the A/C on the entire time.
