Man, hopefully your BS issues are over and you can concentrate on the track! Lol

It's lookin good. I also tried the propane tank torch to kill weeds on my track. While it was fun listening to the jet engine noise and burning sh!t (got too close to one of my pipes and melted it a little) - FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! 😆- it just wasn't worth the time or propane.

Can't wait to see the finished product! Have fun!! 😁✌️

Thanks man-yeah, life happens lol.. As for the wrenching-par for the course with a 70+ year old implement for sure. Running like a sewing machine now though.. I’ll use the torch for duties around the house, as well as “spot burning”, just wasn’t feasible to do the entire track.. 😅 I appreciate the kind words too man, I know how sick YOUR setup is over there!

This is awesome. That's some work you put in, bro. Great job. I can tell it's gonna be killer when you are done.

Thanks buddy! We are finally starting to look like something! The prep work is boring, and extensive, but imo absolutely required if you want something nice. -just about like anything else.. Thanks for the props man! I’ll do my best to keep updating with progress. 😎🤘

And here is the one wooden ramp I’m planning to run out there for “supercross” style big air.. They do shiit like this at the Psycho Nitro Blast race occasionally, and it’s mobile as I split it up. 10’ lanes, so I did one 6’, and one 4’ wide. This ghey iPhone takes wonky photos anytime there are straight lines being shown in “perspective”.. My studs are all true, straight, and square. All ramp sides are identical as well.

I’ll be throwing down several coats of “Rain Gard” water sealer, and it should last a couple years before I need to replace it. I just like the idea of a wooden ramp for this job. The rest will all be dirt.

I need some built if any want to help me 😁 🙂

BMX ramp jumping mojo!
Ohhhhhhhhh, lol.. Where do ya think I learned to build launch ramps… I rode, and skated for years.. Last time I raced BMX-was when I won the NBL Nationals. 😜

No $h¡t?!!! What year was this?

Yes shiit! 🤣

1997. I’m old AF. Rode for many years after that, but that was my last serious race. My body is paying for all of my extracurricular activities now-I can tell ya..😅

I just stuck to dirt jumping after that-much more chill, and had nothing further to prove.. A bunch of my buddies were in the X-Games years ago.. Some even went on to earn a living in BMX bike related stuff. I gravitated more toward racecars, and hotrods, so I did automotive for a living/racecars & hotrods on the side-then moved up to industrial maintance, after acquiring a few more trades under my belt. Kind of like a journeyman that doesn’t have to travel.

TRUTH, My dad was right, I hate to admit it, but he told me I was going to pay for all of that insanity when I got older. :p

I had a similar history only mostly Freestyle BMX, we did shows and had fun, then I just kind of did the street riding and dirt jumping thing after that.

That was my pops as well.. Of course as a dumbasss kid-he was just an idiot old guy at the time when it came to that, because I was harder than that… 🙄 Yeah…. I NOW know that he knew he was right, and I was the idiot, punk ass kid..

Hellyeah man-all I ever needed back then was my 20incher.. Those were the days for sure. I was super fortunate to have the friends I did, or I never would’ve picked it up the way we all did, feeding off one another’s skill sets, or gotten as serious with it as we all did either.. Lots of good memories for sure.. ❤️🍻

So hey... since you've got all this free time lately...
JEEZ!!! I want a track out back but WOW!
Your work is already paying off tho! Cool layout! That ramp looks HUGE!!! 👍🏻
Thanks brothaman! It’s not really gonna look like much until I run it in with the 1:1 truck for a few hours, then get some jumps in, the ramps out, and the pipe down… But it’s finally transforming.. I couldn’t tell as much first hand as I can now viewing the photos in the thread.. 😅

Sometimes I get so deep in my work, its hard to see the progress.
Its even harder when the side-tracks are taking up my time.

I can't wait to see the finished track! If its anything like the rest of the work you post, the track be well worth ALL this drama!
😎😎😎

Bro… believe me-I definitely feel ya on that noise…😅🤷🏻‍♂️

And thanks man-I’m trying lol.. Been busier than a cat trying to bury turds on concrete lately..😂

Got a ton more done today, but as usual-worked until way after the sun was gone.. So another worthless, “no piktars” post.. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣

I’ll try to get some after I’m finished tomorrow.. I did manage to slide the trans in the old 9N into The Twilight Zone, and had to un-fuq that before I could move more earth around…😅 Put near 75yr old shifter setup and all…

Back at it the past two days.. the blade is not ideal for the rough stuff, but I made do as best I could.. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Been leaving piles where jumps are going, wether doubles, tabletops, landers only (the big wooden 3’x10’ launch ramp), and step up’s.. I “roughed in” one; the small 2’x10/12’ step up at the beginning of the back straightaway.. One old man, and a dilapidated rock rake is no dammit bueno, but it’s there, and roughly what I’m looking for to not throw rods down that long mammerjammer.. then a small set of doubles on the far left outside turn (all the rest are just piles until I grab that super stellar rake, and wait for the rain to do some work for me until I roll it in).. Same with the rest. Then a huuuuuuge 10’ wide 3’ high massive lander for the wooden launch ramp.. Following that is a medium size table top to break it up some.. I’ll toss ina few small rollers, and likely some whoops after that.. Would love to have enough surplus dirt for a decent hip jump in the final turn before coming around the far side, and back into the step up, and on down the massive straight again.. That will be a job for the front end loader on the Kubota.. then it’ll all get run in likely with one of my S10’s, and some UN-fuq’n the close section just to the right of the driver stand/deck where the blade was throwing a fit, and I got myself in a little trouble.. Not a big deal-and I’ll get it sorted. Next will be almost 1000ft of 4” corrugated drain pipe, and 200ish 12” spikes, and the accompanying 1.5” fender washers to securely locate the pipe, and have it last a hot minute at least..

Really deceptive as far as the size of my jumps, and piles, but they’re gonna be perfect for a fairly fast pace track, with JUST enough technical shiit to keep things interesting.. did a lot of playing with the grade all over, and manipulated the natural ravine where water runoff takes place when there’s some weather. Should not be too bad, and dry up quick after, without rutting lanes up too bad.. I can always build doubles over it if need be, or some simple 10’ wide wooden bridges..

IMG_6396.webp

These jumps LOOK tiny, but I can assure you they are not, and the camera is playing tricks..Also seriously considering a 12’ lane for that back straight as opposed to the 10’ stuff everywhere else..

Likely gonna be a small table top here on the other side of the tree line.

IMG_6400.webp

The far left interruption I’m thinking some small dubs… Almost two rollers close together..

IMG_6401.webp

On THIS side of the tree line will be the lander for the massive 10’x3’ launch ramp. There will be a fair amount of work to it with the rake, it’ll also be about a foot taller, and likely moved back about 4’ from where it ended up..
Pay no attention to the shape of the pile in the photo..

IMG_6402.webp

Dead nuts directly in front of the driver stand/deck/Ducane stainless propane snack bar 😜🍻 This will be two lanes side by side.

IMG_6403.webp

The end of this straight will actually not go to the end, and will be a 180deg chicane to come back and hit the massive launch ramp. Just past and perpendicular to that will be another 180ish chicane, or VERY short “U”, where I’d love to see a hip jump to lead back across the front of @Xraycer ‘s “free candy shack”, and then an immediate left for the completed lap, and back over the step up, and on down the back straightaway..

IMG_6404.webp

Back straight beginning roughed in step up..

More in next post..

Another of the step up, and back straightaway..

IMG_6406.webp

Looks TINY, and it’s just over 2’ high, and 12’ wide..

IMG_6407.webp

IMG_6408.webp

IMG_6409.webp

This pile will end up a smallish table top on the backside of the tree line.

IMG_6410.webp

Gonna be a small set of dubs, just to break up that far left outer lane a bit. Should still be fast enough for that U-shaped sweeping turn.

IMG_6411.webp

Same..

IMG_6412.webp

Lander for the wooden 3’x10’ launch ramp.. will almost for sure be pulled back toward the center of the track/closer to driver stand about 4’, and the shape will change drastically.. will be tall, and lonnnng… Nice forgiving pitch to land. I want BIG air here, but no internet basher fuq-tard distance… Wanna have fun without abusing my stuff, and still be a FAST track. Same as in BMX, you are losing ground anytime the tires aren’t putting power to the dirt. 😉

IMG_6413.webp

Again.

IMG_6414.webp

Yet again..

IMG_6415.webp

I’m beat to shiit after the past two days.. my back sucks for this stuff at 46yrs old.. And that’s a BRUTALLY tough pill to swallow my friends..

Can’t wait to get the Kubota over here to fox a few things that’ll go far smoother with the bucket, save the front right hand side of the footprint where the blade wasn’t the best tool for the gig, and finally get some black pipe staked town so y’all actually have something to look at without having a seizure trying to make sense of my blabbering…😅🤷🏻‍♂️ It’s coming along though..
