Yes!!! You should ONLY use and store in a lined metal or fire proof container or a lipo approved bag. That's why the lipo bags were developed. Ibhave two of them for my lipos. Not fire resistant or plastic or a cardboard box.. NOTHING ELSE and thats coming from a person that has worked and is in the fire protection field for over 20yrs. And have watched alot of video and read alot of info on them. As I'm new to the lipo batteries as well.. And has reseached and learned alot before getting into and using them. They are very sensitive batteries. They can burn your house down or destroy your life/belongings faster then a match. Fire is NO joke and very unpredictable. If charged and hit or dropped in the rite way or hard enough angle. And never to be over charged either more then 4.2.. or let the battery connectors come in contact with each other or have contact with any short or metal as they will short circuit and destroy the lipos. At that point they can become very unstable.. and burst And cause a problem. A very serious problem. They should be stored in a temp controlled area. That really doesn't get too hot say above 90°. Or in direct sunlight. Shouldn't be stored or left fully charged at 4.2 for more then 48hrs... if not going to use them. Always discharge them. To proper storage charge of 3.8 maybe 3.7 but NO lower. They are awesome batteries to use with lots of power. But must be respected and cared for and maintained. For long proper fun use. I hope that this helps you. And doesn't scared or deter you from getting and useing them bud.
