LiPo Thread 101

I have 2 questions. I currently have a MT10, running 2S LiPo's . I am looking to (soon) upgrade to 3S.

1) Are there any suggestions on 3S batteries for this truck, in particular?

2) As far as chargers are concerned. I am looking for something to charge the S2/S3 batteries. I am hearing good things about the Hota Pro 6. Can someone explain the pros and cons of this charger, and any other suggested charger options that are available? I have attached a picture of my current battery and charger.


I know less then 0 about LiPo batteries, and I'm trying to figure things out, so I won't have to buy things twice, or have stuff that won't go to waste.

I have an MT10. It’s such a great truck. I use a HOTA D6 Pro Charger and CNHL 3S 100c 6200 MAH LiPo. They all work great so far. The guys here can guide you much better than I can. Just letting you know what I use on my MT10.

Any time. Right now , I have mine in a covered bin with the wheels removed , laying on a soft towel. It’s hibernation time. I’m hoping next month me and the kids will get some good weather to take out RC’s out driving. I’ll be painting up some new bodies soon to give it a different look. Here he is as of late 2024…

Haha , I have a few mods done to mine. I just got back into RC @ 5 months ago. The guys on here are beyond awesome. They helped me with EVERYTHING. And they didn’t even seem to mind answering my 1,000,000 questions (which I’m still asking btw). They’re the ones who told
me what charger , batteries and trucks they recommend.

You'll have to make sure the lipos will fit your battery tray but here's the best lipos you can buy, in order. (You can ignore the first two as they are no prep packs)
