LF advice...Buying a new motor/ESC

Hi,
Id like to buy a 3s motor and ESC for my sons 1/10 Bandit. The Velineon seems a bit pricey so I'm hoping you might be able to recommend a more cost effective alternative.

The hobbywing max10 sct/3200kv is pretty good for me so far in my stampede 4x4 vxl on 3S. Although, the motor did overheat on me I think, but my stampede is fairly heavy especially when running a 7200mah 3S pack. I geared it down to 12/52 and haven't run it since.

With the bandit, you may be more inclined to get a higher kv motor though, considering it's 2wd and light.

I run a hobbystar 3660 3200kv motor and traxxas vxl-3s in my converted jato, still probably heavier than your bandit. so far it's doing well.

Hobbywing QUICRUN 10BL120 ESC, and pick up a low budget 3200~3500kv 3650/540 sized motor.
