I have finally got my kyosho gx21 to run but when idoling the clutch is engaging and will stall the engin 9 times out of 10 I have tried to slow the engine with the idol screw but it eventuay stop then cuts out.
could this possibly be the clutch spring or am I missing something else, if it is clutch it's a 2 piece aluminium one which I can change but would a 3 piece be better choice if so does anyone have any info on which one to use and which fly wheel I should get?

thanks

Iam having this issue with my mp7.5 sport atm did you ever get a fix for it .it was running very well and all of sudden I noticed the clutch was engaged at idle and when I break it cut the engine out. Iam running the 2shoe circle clutch and the bell gear had no bearings instead it has plastic brushing of some kind it there a good upgrade flywheel and clutch assembly that fits this gx-21

It could be your clutch spring is very weak. The original clutch shoes should be plastic with a long spring around it. Maybe the metal clutch is rubbing against the bell.

Should not have any plastic bushing in it.

Yes mate it was the clutch but now at idle something is catching and cutting the engine out I dont know if it's a bearings issue or mesh issue the mesh seems ok but I dont know what it is .the engine has good compression and starts very easily I took the clutch apart lastnight and reset the mesh but it's still happening but only at idle if I drive the car continuously it's good but once I stop every now and again something grinds and the cars jumps forward a bit or cuts out 🤷‍♂️

Make sure the brakes are not catching on too early when it is still revving high. You can try to adjust the brakes or no brakes at all to see if the idling is fine.

Is that a two or three shoe clutch set up?
A two shoe has a rap around single spring that can be weak!..🤔
If so ,I would change it out to a three shoe set up!..👍
