An RC sailboat has to be the most relaxing thing I’ve ever heard of. Could you imagine going sailing every Sunday morning without all the actual work of sailing??
Bout to buy this ole girl and take her out on the Mississippi

I legit am looking into this. Hopefully can get some input from them. We’ve got a decent sized pond at one of the local parks that may offer a good practice space

You have to enjoy rc on the slower, chill side. Like, I enjoy crawlers more than I do speed and jumps.

This makes me wanna sit back with a hot coffee early morning on a fall morning and just take it easy

Thats what my sailboat would look like! 🤣

I grew up on the Illinois river and spent a bit of time on the Mississippi, you ain’t gonna swim to retrieve it or count on another rc boat to recover it 🤣 unless you keep it close to shore, but you show St. Louis area, barge traffic is a killer
I spent some time in Mississippi when I was younger. I used to drive across the levee and picnic right on the bank of the Mississippi river. That is one powerful big ass river. I wouldnt want to try swimming in it, even close to shore lol

Not to mention there are huge alligators, sharks, and catfish big enough to swallow you.

It is a very interesting corner of the RC world, my father and i sailed a A class boat, it has fairly realistic classic ocean going lines. I learned to sail with it, but just as with the real thing you usually have the most fun in the winter when the weather is a bit hard going.

I’ll see if I can dig out a picture
