So I know this is not RC but thought some of you skilled model makers might get a kick out of it. Sailor Made Spanish Galleon. Passed down in our family since at the latest 1900, maybe earlier, so built in the 1800's. Just pulled it down from the attic and started working on replacing the broken rigging, and other minor repairs. Going to hang from ceiling in my workshop.

That is amazing man. I don't know about the hanging from a ceiling part though. I would put that sucker in a glass case. Things like that are kinda priceless, since it is a family heirloom.

I was wondering what the JHS initials on the forward sail might mean. Turns out it stands for "Jesus Hominum Salvator" or basically "Jesus Savior of Mankind".

I wish the maker had put his initials and the year somewhere on it. Pretty cool that he fabricated all that from whatever materials he had on hand while he sailed. I will never know whether or not it was a family member or friend of the family or how it found its way to us. Thanks for the comments, appreciated.
