Well, I guess I am building this first. I've only built the axles so far, but it has been smooth. I'm using a MKS HBL550 for steering. This is definitely a neat setup with the ram-rod.

I completely forgot the servo is inverted on this build. I had to do a double take on that one. It's gonna be cool when it's done.

Do you think these will match the teal panels?

That's a good one! Get er' done and let's see this beast burn some rubber!
Oh yeah! I be burning rubber with the PitBull Rock Beast XLs I just picked up. It's still up in the air what wheels I'll end up with. I am quite indecisive!

I just finished the shocks and they feel very cheaply made to me. I honestly expected some better quality. The bottom seals immediately started leaking a bit...and yes I use o-ring grease.

This isn't the first time I've written this, but what I do with Vanquish shocks, most of the time, is carefully reassemble all four shock bodies without fluid. Then I line them up evenly in my right hand so they are all the same length, no springs mind you, and then carefully throw them into the trash can and forget they ever existed. You can use the springs for something else.

Sometimes they work, most of the time they leak. I run Dlux Fab shocks on most of my 1/10 rigs. Far superior shocks.

Getting them all lined up even is the important part! 🤣

Have you tried changing the o-rings to something thicker?

Shocks are one of those things that either work or they don't, and usually they crap the camper in the middle of the trail or during a rock race. I've fooled with swapping bits in the past, but it's just not worth the effort. I think in the fleet we have no less than a dozen sets of Dlux Shocks, and at this point I order them the same day I start a new build. I'd sell the VP shocks, but I don't want to pass off my problem to someone else here.

Into the trash they go!

Gotta leave them apart and sell them for "parts" on thebay! 🤣
Put a "job lot" bag together with bits of plastic and aluminum and a bag of rusty e-clips and call it "rare". Thats an easy $50 for the "ice cream fund"! 🤣🤣🤣

Those are the ones. I think my VRD carbon is the only Vanquish in the fleet running Vanquish shocks. Just about all the rest are Dlux.
