You're gonna have to train RC to fly up and get em unstuck 😆

You have a big enough area there to fly planes and quads. That's next after boats 😜
We tried some cheapo drones and helis. There always seems to be a steady breeze though and they couldn’t over come it. I’m sure more hobby grade type would handle it better. I’m just a bit gunshy on that to see 😂

You can buy Real Flight off Horizon that will teach you how to fly. There is also DRL (Drone Racing League) that is a really fun FPV drone sim. Lots of fun. If you ever wanted to feel like Superman, that's about as close as you'll get. Unless we finally get our damn jet packs!

I finally stopped procrastinating and decided to finish painting the kitchen which we never completed from the renovations over 2 years ago.

Doing the easy bits first. I'm not looking forward to painting the ceiling and cornices. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Edit:

After. That's the easy bit done.

Both, the one we lost had a chute, I didn’t cut the hole big enough 😂. It will come down though eventually, it’s not stuck bad but just outta reach. Been trying to hit it with a football 😂.
This would be a non-issue if you already had a pumpkin catapult 🤦‍♂️

You have a beautiful home. Very nice. 🤩

Dam that is a pretty big kitchen. Fancy
Thank you. I'm pretty sure I delayed my retirement by 20 years to have this kitchen, but happy wife, happy life.

I have a small home I bought new in 96, I was 21. Almost paid for. But its so small at 1150 sq ft, 1/2 acre. My kitchen is like a closet! 🤣
I honestly don’t understand the modern-day obsession with huge kitchens when they don’t use a quarter of it. I also find it strange that kitchens have become somewhat the centerpiece of a house nowadays.

Came home from work Friday and spent about an hour using my beasty leaf blower to blow about a ton of fallen acorns off the lawn. Getting the place spruced up before my high school son's pre game day soccer match dinner.
Mrs. X served the boys a Chipotle style dinner. Big hit! After dinner, the boys hit the Xbox, and I hung out with a buddy in the backyard by the firepit enjoying adult beversages. Mrs. X joined us by the fire after she served the boys and ate her own meal.
Later that night, there was still about 6 boys left, and they came out to hang out by the fire. Enjoyed myself socializing the bunch! They didn't seem to mind having an old fart in the mix. Good, fun group of kids.
Enjoyed the firepit so much that I figured I called over a few buds, I haven't seen all summer, to hang out on Saturday night. While at the soccer game (boys lost 0-1 🙁), I ended up inviting some of the parents over as well. Ended up with about a dozen people over at the house. It was a last minute thing, so we just picked up pizzas. Had a great time catching up with my buds, and getting to know some of the parents I've known for awhile but never hung out with outside of soccer matches.
Today, is going to be just cleaning up and then chillaxing to football. I've got a long week coming up, but then have the following week off 😃.

Well, it actually turned out to be a very productive day.
I didn't get going until around noon, but once I started, I just built up steam and kept going.
First up was cleaning up the back yard from Friday and Saturday nights. Mrs. X mentioned to clean out the dryer vent. This requires the use of a ladder. While the ladder was already out, I went ahead and used it to clean out the pellet stove flue.
Mrs. X's Forester has a tire with a slow leak. I didn't see anything obvious during the initial inspection, last weekend. Today, I removed the tire and sprayed soapy water on it. It turned out to be a plug I installed last year after a screw had punctured it. I replugged it, and will have to wait and see.
Then came a task I've been dreading. My backyard has a large gravel area abutting the back of the house. It has fallen acorns all over it. Because of the gravel, these acorns have to be removed by hand. A long arduous task! Last task for the day was removing all the drip watering system.
Came in around 6pm, showered, made a fajita bowl and sat eating in front of the TV for some football.

My son wanted to go fishing in the city under bridges so thats what we are doing.

Very first location we stop at had a lot of action. Schools of fish were visible. I hook one first but it got off. Then my son caught one. Just a Mullet but doesn't matter as we are only catching and releasing.

Confession, I like to shop for Antiques. Don't purchase a lot because I don't want my house to become an Antique shop. I like lookin' at relics from the past. I have a cast iron Hot Iron I use for a door stop and needed another one. About a month ago I went shopping and found another Hot Iron I wanted for that other door stop. I also found another Hot Iron I thought was very cool. A Coal Hot Iron. No, I don't collect Hot Irons 😂. Put hot coals in the back, close the door, allow some heating time and you're ready. Have you ever seen a Hot Iron with an exhaust vent in the front? I like cast iron objects. To me, they're just cool. For me to purchase an Antique it needs to really grab my attension and then there's the price. If it doesn't seem to be a fair price I won't purchase. The coal Iron won't be used as a door stop. I'll display it near the fireplace as a conversation piece. Just thought this iron very interesting. I've never seen a coal Hot Iron before.
