I'm having trouble with wiring or tuning or something!! I have a rlaarlo that I converted to run duel motors and duel Esc's. Is there a certain way I need to wire them? It seems like it's not any faster than with one motor!

Are you sure your battery can discharge that quickly? Try almost doubling the pinion sizes and monitor motor temperatures

I know years ago traxxas had a vtwin. They put two 1/10 vxl 3500 combos on an emaxx. To make it work they had to cut or pull a negative wire at the y split going into the receiver. Unsure if that would help you.

Ill look around. I've seen dual castle combos on an arrrma here before. Ill try to find out and post it.

The difference between a single motor capable of 3500kv and two motors capable of 3500kv is 0. 🤪

I'm not sure how having two motors spinning against a common spur gear is going to be significantly faster than a single motor. Now torque is a whole different story.

I think you'll gain more speed, for less weight, just by increasing motor KV ratings, pinion size and battery size (2S to 3s).

But I am interested to hear your results if you do find a 'fix' to gain more speed with twin motors.

Motor temps are great I'm already at a 2 50t pinions and a 52t spur. I can't figure out how to change it from 48p to mod 1 or I would. I'm messing with 3s and 4s batteries right now and not a whole lot of difference

That's sorta what I thought as well that's what common sense would tell you but it's not apparently if you look up raz shifron I think that's how you spell his last name. 2 motors capable of say 60mph each just saying should be over 100 mph together

The Emaxx had two brushed motors. One clockwise rotation, one counter clockwise.

It did. But traxxas did a vtwin they never sold. I also thought the emaxx used two reverse turn motors and the erevo used one forward and one reverse turn motor.

Oh wow! That seems like it wouldn't have went well in the long term. I didn't know they even tried that.
They did in 2007 or 2008. Right after they paired it with a castle mamba monster so testing didn't seem to go well.

The twin motor/battery E-Maxx is some good fun. Big drawback is the weight. Mine tips the scales almost 13 pounds. I'm only using nicads.

Mine is the brushless version, but still twin packs, 2S lipos for me.
I'm running 2 4000kv motors with 2 120a Esc's and 2 3s batteries. I'm having no problem breaking 90mph but In theory I thought I'd be well over 100 on this combo
