About 20 years ago I visited Phoenix AZ this time of year. When the plane door opened it was like opening the oven. There was a little girl that got burned really bad walking barefoot on the sidewalk just down the road. Not for me....I'll take the -20°....heat not so much.

I lived in Vegas for a bit. Same deal. That desert heat is really something!
I burned my arms on the chrome on the car door so many times, my arms have pinstripes.

Too hot to be driving anyways!

Its 101° here! This is crazy!

Yup... pretty nasty here in the Northeast. We have an extreme heat warning again for today. Highs near 100˚ and humid. Yuk!

When it's hot and humid here, there's not much you can do to get relief if you're outdoors. Years ago, I did the Biking Across Kansas bicycling ride. One day, it got up to 104˚. It was my first time experiencing that "dry heat" everyone mentions. I didn't feel wet and sweaty, and salt crystals formed everywhere where my sweat was nearly instantly evaporating. You could cool off by sprinting water on yourself. Here in upstate NY, doing that just makes you wetter and more uncomfortable! 🥵
