I had my favorite lipstick in my purse and I guess the lid came off and the key to my office ended up with lipstick enbeded all over the part you put into the lock. I didn't realize it when I unlocked the bulding yesterday morning and now everytime I stick the key in the lock it gets lipstick on it. Which thankfully it's a pretty color or it would be extra annoying. Any suggestions on how to clean the lock out???

If you let me know the address, I will come over and lick it out. It should only take an hour or two per lock. Not to worry, I can do 4-5 locks in a day and still have the energy to do a few more after hours. :D

What color lipstick? Have any pics????

Couldn't help myself. :hehe:

Maybe wd40? Can't say I've had that problem.

LOL.........If you seriously think you can lick my problem please submit professional references along with your current pricing schedule.

brake cleaner should clean it out, then some wd-40 will lube it back up. you could probably substitute brake clean for nitro cleaner if you have any.

I'd say if the lipstick matches your outfit then there's no worry, right?
Good point Candyman, however it is only one layer of my color. You see to get that perfect shade you usually start with a base color, then add a different hue as the top color and finish with something like a moon ice frost. Anyway the finished product makes for pretty kissable lips. My point is that this color doesn't quite match my overall look.....Maybe I should gloss my key to finish off the lock........lol

The hell with Eddy!!

I have references. Also have a hell of a money back guarantee! :hehe:

I’m currently employed and have an exclusive contract. If in the future, there is a change in this arraignment I will forward all pertinent information to your attention.

I’m amazed that your current personnel, (A new higher as I understand) doesn’t have this skill set. You should have conducted a more rigorous pre-employment interview.

giggle..........Eddy, you offered your services (see above), I was just trying to determine if your experience level and pricing was in line with other professionals. After reading that thread about getting ripped off by mechanics, you can't blame a girl for being careful.

LOL.......;)......fax me the info

If a girl can’t be too careful, Ill assume you have multiple hidden cameras installed so you can view the quality of work that was preformed after the fact?

If so, I like you style and would consider moonlighting. Do you offer any kind of benefit package?

Thanks, I may try spraying 409 in first though. do you think if I sprayed 409 and that didn't work if I added wd40 it would blow the lock up??

lol, i dont think it will blow up. anything that breaks down oil should remove the lipstick. engine cleaner, brake cleaner, ect...

Consider it a way to track suspicious characters who may try out your lock.

I say just add a little eye shadow and mascara and the lock will look dead sexy. But then again, if you're not careful, everyone in the neighborhood will be trying their keys....

You could also try heating your key with a lighter, stick it in the lock to warm up the mechanism. Do that a few times and it should melt the lipstick down into the lock away from the tumblers so it won't get on your key anymore.

Holy sh!t your a girl!?

Just do what was stated and you should get it out or you can just take it apart and clean it out like that.

man Eddy, I bet in college everyone hated going out to the bars w/ you....4mins into the scene and you're on the only lady in the joint faster than a tick on a wallaby's arse.....
LOL.....this lil fishy says to spray non-clorinated brake cleaner in that sucker...or Denatured Alcohol and just keep spraying it in there......
and if it doesn't work I say try candyman' s sugestion......
