are the tires on the 18t preglued or will i need to buy glue? ill prolly go to hobbytown and buy tomorrow or sunday and if they arent glued what should i get

I'm not sure if they are preglued or not. I would imagine they are though. At any rate CA glue is a good product to have on hand anyways.

woot! i got the rc18t...its the best rc car I've ever had lol lets just say...i like it...a lot

awesome man. Glad to hear you like it. I gotta get mine goin here pretty soon. Got parts c'mon.. I love it when I'm expecting packages.. :) Enjoy your RC18!

ok thank, but if you think i meant all out aluminum, i meant just strengthening certain stuff, like a arms, bumper, and shock toers to protect the car and not have as much damage

I'll 2nd the No aluminum shock towers. You'll make so heavy that it won't crawl out of it's own tracks.
Upgrades when you can;
Motor
Battery pack - a good pack made with GP cells or go brushless with lipo.

RPM has the front bumper that you are looking for.

Here was mine before its first Mamba run and before returning it to stock form. It was literally stupid fast;

Congrats on your new toy.

whats rpm?

and whats that lil red piece of cloth that came with it...does it go on the antenna of the tx?

and one more question, what weight shock oil should i use?

lol ok il be sure to do that...even tho me, thatr doesn't have a job and is 15 only has 16 dollars left aftere buying it lol

I agree with everybody else. Aluminum is not necessary for durability in an RC18. At least not very much of it. I have an aluminum steering kit on order but that's to get rid of the slop.

I tell you what you can do though that's really cheap and makes a world of difference. The servo saver is extremely soft and most people do some sort of mod to strengthen it up a bit. If you grind away a very slight ring around the servo saver you can fit 1 (or more if you prefer) coils from an extra spring around it. This makes the saver a quite a bit stiffer which will help steering tremendously.

you got a link to that mod Lessen?
I have that integy steering kit that was supposed to help alot and it didn't do squat.....still has sloppy steering.....but it's from the saver.....

It's in the August issue of RCDriver. I'll try to snap some photos of mine since I'll be tearing it all down for a new chassis anyways.

I think (hope) your right about the slop being from the saver. I just ordered that Integy steering kit myself. Does it take care of the fact that the two stock belcranks would twist? I imagine it would. The DP Productions draglink is the hot item over on one18th.com. Seems like a very simple but obvious solution.. I've head lots of good things about it.

lol..i think the 1st thing I'm gonna get is a quick charger...and I've found out a driveway and road eats tires up a lil
just to get to small jumps of course lol

here's a couple shots of the servo saver mod. I used a mini-t spring because I happend to have an extra set. I just now made the groove a little wider so I could use two.

grgbulldog- I recently made a small ramp for my micros.. It's a blast! just something to think about when you don't have a lot of extra cash and you want to do something rc related.

sweet i may use it lol. you dont care if i use your design do you?

I have found the MT tires handle better all around

BUT, it all depends on where you want to drive. Decide what surface you want to drive on first, then decide what to get. I have sold 100's of the kits and the MT is the most popular, BUT REMEMBER these kits can all transform into each other, so it does not really matter what kit you buy.
