as most of you probobly know, i have been asking question (probobly too many) about what nitro to get.lately i have been having second thoughts on getting a savage because of the money. i was wondering what you guys think of mini T's?

or any other offroad electric

fun little truck, has a reputation like that of a T-Maxx though. needs a good amount of upgrades straight outta the box to be worth a crap and fun.

Associated's RC18 series are very popular vehicles as well. there are 4 in all the "T" (a stadium truck), an "MT" (monster truck), "B" (buggy), and "R" (rally car). Not sure if the last one is available yet or not. They're all the same basic vehicle with only minor part differences. AWD too as opposed to the Mini-t.

I have both and like both equally.

thank you very much, ill look it right up. i didnt just mean mini stuff though, i also meant bigger 1/10 stuff too

i looked at the associated stuff...the t and mt really dont look all that different

Losi Mini T is MUCH more fragile than the Associated product line and is only 2 wheel drive; whereas, the Associated kits are 4. All around the Associated line is a much better product.

Agreed there without hesitation; Altho, this is a ford-vs-chevy debate.... I myself have the 18B, and love it. Out of the box, the only thing I've done to it were deans Micro 2R connectors and the turnbuckle kit.

It's a tough little car - I've smacked it into countless things that'd break a radio shack car.

The RC18T handles better and is more durable than the Mini T.

The XRay M18T is the better platform but not all hobby shops stock the parts.

is the monster truck one (dunno what it is) by associated able to run on grass and stuff or is it to small?

The RC18T, MT and B are all the same. All 3 will travel across lawn grass proving it is not too high.

It goes on short grass ok. Its not the greatest for grass, but it will do it. I have the RC18MT by Associated and I like it a lot, very durable.

kk this is all i need to know, they are also good for just setting up ramps and jumping too right?

Iv got a rc18mt and love it. Iv had it for a year and beat the hell out of it iv gone threw 2 reedy motors and 2 speed controls. Other than that not much has broke, I definatly recomend this truck its sturdy as hell. And for 1/10 scale the xtm is cheap and so is the new rustler. Both are great trucks.

so let me get this strait, the mt and the t are exactly the same with just look differences?

so which would be the prefered one for bashing? doesn't matter I'm assuming? or do they handle a lil different with the lil vs bigger tires

There's not much of a difference in the handling unless you are going to race it. The MT tires look better but that's about it.

ah ok and idk much about electrics, how long would the battery life be?

They're both good for bashing.. very durable. I don't think it really matters, buy the one that looks better to you.

BTW, I have a moderately hopped up Mini-T that I beat up in the house all the time and I havn't broke anything in quite a long time now. It's not slow either. Now of course it wouldn't take it in stock form but you just gotta know what parts need upgraded and what parts don't. People waste all kinds of money hopping up RC18 vehicles and they really don't need that much. I have lots of fun with my Mini-T and I still think it's a really good little truck.

Runtime depends. What type of battery pack. What type of motor. I have a 6-cell GP1100 pack and an Orion Baja motor in my Mini-T. I get 18-19 minutes before major power loss. Gearing also plays a major role.

If you buy one you will have a learning curve to go through.
