I'm not familiar with them to give suggestions, but it looks good! Are Jatos RWD?

Bearings for the little steering posts. They are made out of aluminum and get ground up from dirt. Running bearings will help them last longer and will give you smoother steering.

Also, an aluminum brake arm. That did wonders for mine.

Otherwise, you seem to be on the right track.

Yes. RWD w/ two speed trans.

yhea I saw one of those and remembered that what you had. I just upgraded brakes w/RRP.Now it time to start tearing her up. arms, hump pack. new severos,Roll bar , chassis brace ,Bumper

where at?

where do I put my hump pack in the battery box in back or in the box between the fuel tank and ez starter???:surrender

A hump pack won't fit in the center tray, so I'd guess the rear.

It will fit in the center, but you have to find an alternative means to hold it in other than the cap. The center box is made for a flat pack.

I ran a hump pack in the center by drilling a hole in the top of the box near the exhaust side and another hole on the spur side. Then I just ran a ziptie over the pack and through the holes. It held up fine.

Sort of... I have a flat pack in it now and I never took photo's with the battery pack in mind.

Here you can see the fat white ziptie and the hole in the top of the case with the ziptie going through it and over the pack:

Here you can see the other side sort of:

Iam going to run talons up front and swamp hawgs by IMEX in back. Does that sound ok?90% of my driving is offroad and a little street but If thaat changes I will use the anacondas.

The swamps may be too much contact for off-road. You will probably get a lot of excess wheel spin which with force you to either run light on the throttle most of the time or really loosen up the slipper.

I ran these and they were pretty much useless anywhere but on concrete... which isn't what I bought them for obviously:

Unless I ran very very light on the throttle. They were "ok" in grass until the little blocks wore down a bit.

Again, I was running a 18TM with them most of the time. But, when I ran a TRX2.5, they were useless in dirt. I had to adjust my radio to only do max of 1/2 throttle to get any fun out of the truck at all.

I'm just telling you what I had good luck with and why.

I'm not sure what talons are.

With the lightness of the jato and the two speed, you have a lot of low end torque off the line and a lot of speed after it hits second. Tires with a lot of contact will just get lower traction and cause it to be harder to control without being really sensitive with the throttle.

Maybe throwing a 5 cell hump in the rear will give you more rear bite. I run a center flat pack now, but I did that to avoid constant wheelies, which I still would get if I ran sticky step pins on pretty much any surface.

Well, let us know how they work out for you. Still seems like a lot of contact area for the jato to me. you will get decent wear time out of them, but I still feel you will get poor traction comparatively to the ones I suggested.

At least they aren't that expensive... I'd run something like that at a skate park that's concrete that transitions to grass with mostly running on concrete. But that's me.

last summmer I ran them on my jato for like a minute then they came loose from the rim so I didnt really see how they were doing. I no they were getting better grip than the anacondas :)
