.........take 2

Finally got, Habanero, my new Traxxas TRX4 Range Rover Defender on its first trail ride today. Well, today would have been it's 2nd run, if I didn't have a total brain fart last Saturday.
I took Habanero, 30 minutes away, to an area I've heard about: Middlesex Fells Reservation. When we got there, I couldn't get the ESC to power on. I kept messing with the power button, until it finally dislodged and ended up somewhere inside the ESC. Stupid me, with now 3 crawlers, didn't bring a back up vehicle. So here I am, at what I will soon discover is an epic rc crawling area, without a crawler.
Ok, getting back to today, no power button issue. This TRX4 platform runs smooth as butter. Despite the tall, huge body, and no additional weight added yet, this thing can crawl! Looking forward to adding weights and dual stage tire foams to see how much better it can do. Thunder and menacing, dark clouds started rolling in, so I was only able to get about 30min in. It was still enough to get my crawling fix.

Oh, so what was the issue with the power button?
There was no issue. I was pushing the power led indicator instead of the actual power button, adjacent to it. I was so annoyed when I got home and realized this! In my defense, I got my TRX4 esc confused with my Slash esc. The Slash' esc power button is actually round and lights up, just like the TRX4 esc, except the TRX4 esc round button is just a light.

Well, now that I got the team together, it's fitting that they have a team name.

Poppin' Pepper Power Posse

Jalapeno: Scout
Habanero: Defender
Reaper: Wrangler

Absolutely love 'em!

Did you chop that one body yourself or did it come that way?

I noticed the unchopped one has a lot of lights.

I'm going for sorta a tactical look, but I'm hoping my finished product will look as polished as yours.
