More parts

Although these are technically not for this. I pulled the parts from another rig. Once I get things together. I’ll decide what motor ESC and stuff I like and what works.

HH 3500 on 3 S and Mamba x and a Spectrum receiver. I might try a 2800kv on 4 S after it’s tuned a little.
For servos I have a Reefs RC triple 4 winch servo and a triple 4 on the steering. For now.
i think this is going to be OK.
Man, I love the chipped paint on the floor. Looks killer!

Great to see the guys getting busy again! This is going to be an awesome build. I am slowly gathering parts for an SCX24 6X6.

I got my used but never run TRX6 and stripped the running gear. My plan is to sell the body and chassis or buy a trashed TRX6 and rebuild it with the new parts.

I had to make a front upper link and will have to make a steering link. In the end I will get high clearance links.
I’m also not sure about the drive shaft length. I think I’ll stuff the tubs with rubber sk the center section can’t shift and pop out. Probably get metal axles anyhow.

The boys really hit it out of the park today.
This is not finished or even close.
But I got it mocked up using parts from almost every rig in my shop. Might keep this body on here but need to make a exact copy for the other 4x4 version.

I need some help with the locking unlocking differentials. Should I lock all of them or just the front and leave the diff operational for the rear? Turning radius is my concern. I’m not in dirt but on rocks.

Well I tried to get this winch servo to work. But after a lot of trial and error I decided to go with a lay down servo mount. The spool hanging down is just in the way of everything.
I’ll post pictures of that later when the boys get it done.

You mean "The boys tried..." and "the boys decided". Stick to the script man, or we are getting a new narrator! 🤪😝😁😜

Dude, those frame rails are pretty nice. The close up of that carbon doesn't show the laminations like you usually see. A sign of a decent fiber. I used to work at one of the premier fiber shops on the planet. Good stuff 😉

Not to bad . Might add weight to the front axle and remove weight from the links but 7lb+/- should be able to climb
Looking great man! Awesome build. Going to be a sick ride when you get the hoist installed.

Everything is pulled down for paint. I ordered shocks and wheels and I’m waiting for a body and paint.
The lay down servo mount is great. But I need to eventually got an internal spool winch. But it can wait.

This came together very fast but I had to strip four other rigs of parts to build it. Now I have to decide if I use the parts on the 6x6 and replace the stuff I used from the other rigs. Or upgrade the other rigs. That will take time as it is expensive.

The body is OUT FOR DELIVERY !!!
So now it the last chance to change my mind.

So I welcome any input here. First I suck at paint. Can’t tape stuff off or even put on stickers straight. I also have no imagination. That said my plan is to copy my GSpeed power wagon 4x4 and make a 6x6 version.

So Orange is the color. But if someone has a cool power wagon that is not artwork I’m interested.

I bought some orange parts over the last year and put them on the 4x4. But Orange shocks and wheels. I’m not crazy about the look. So I don’t really want to make a total copy. I ordered black shocks and silver wheels. That way I only had to do two wheels and two shocks.

I used to have a Dodge Dart that was a nice metallic root beer brown, it would look good on that body, but I think that body deserves a brighter color, and I am partial to competition orange. ;)

If you back the orange with black instead of silver if make a nice copper color.

But I think I’ll stick with the orange. The thing about the body’s is, I use them as a bash protector. The rocks cliffs I craw on will destroy a body in a couple months. So maybe next body will be different color.

Dude, I had a 75 Dart - root beer brown with a black vinyl top. It was mint!

Just put in the HH puller pro. The motor is a monster. Put the 90mm Desert Lizard back shocks and Hyrax tires in the rear. Still waiting for the front stuff. Like I said I stripped my 4x4 sto build this quick.

It just drives up anything I got. Totally un tuned with Super swappers from an Injora kit on the front . It still just drove up my toughest climb.

Really nice build, everything is very well planned. I’ve seen one of those g speed 6x6 chassis in action but not built to the level you are going. It performed superb and I suspect his will be even better.

I can’t believe how fast this project has come along. Still tons to do but I’m pleased with the work the boys have gotten done so far. I guess my winter project will be rebuilding the four other rigs I stripped.

wheels and shocks are in the mail and They are going to paint the body this weekend.
